CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the rize CCC Players of the Week on Monday morning, where the No. 6 Corban University Women's Volleyball team was represented by freshman opposite hitter Makayla Roginski, who garners this week's Attacker of the Week award.

"I am so proud of Makayla and the work she has put in this season!" Warriors' Head Coach Kim McLain shared on her freshman opposite hitter's success this past week.

"She is always pushing herself to be a better player and it is paying off! I am blessed to coach her and am excited to watch her grow throughout her years here at Corban," McLain continued enthusiastically.

Roginski absolutely plastered the ball this past weekend against two formidable opponents in Oregon Tech and No. 17 Southern Oregon University, scoring 11 and 17 kills in those games, respectively. She managed 28 kills this weekend on 47 attempts with just five errors, which resulted in a staggering .489 attacking percentage.

Her 17 kills against SOU is a new career-high for the freshman, who continues to hit harder and more consistent at the net with each passing weekend.

Roginski and the No. 6 Warriors return to the hardwood at the C.E. Jeffers Sports Complex this upcoming weekend, where they will host The Evergreen State College Geoducks (7-4, 6-1) in a potential revenge rematch from last year's home loss to the Geoducks.
