Warrior Women's Volleyball Ranked in National Top Five for Fifth-Consecutive Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The third National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Volleyball Top 25 Regular Season Coaches' Poll was announced earlier this morning, where the Corban University Women's Volleyball program dropped down a single spot from third to fourth overall in the national scene after completing a 2-2 two-week road trip featuring pitstops in southwestern Idaho, eastern Oregon, and southern Oregon. In that span, the Warriors dropped a pair of four-set matches to No. 15-ranked College of Idaho and No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University, followed by three-set sweeps of Oregon Tech and formerly No. 25-ranked Southern Oregon University.

"Being ranked in the NAIA top five is an honor and a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes and staff," began Corban head coach Kim McLain. "We know we must work hard every day to improve and prepare for each match. The Cascade Collegiate Conference challenges us every week, and we're grateful for that. We're excited for what's ahead and committed to getting better every day."

The most recent two-week road trip the Navy and Gold just completed is undisputedly one of the toughest back-to-back weekends of road contest across the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC), with the Warriors having to traverse nearly 1,500 travel miles in a nine-day period during the Pacific Northwest's transition from summer to fall weather in full effect. While the No. 15-ranked Yotes and No. 1-ranked Mountaineers were able to hand them only their second and third losses thus far in 2025, picking up three-set sweeps over the Lady Owls and formerly nationally ranked Raiders put Corban women's volleyball back in control of their own conference and national tournament aspirations.

Just this past Monday, senior opposite hitter Makayla Roginski and senior middle blocker Gracie Boeder were named the CCC Attacker and Defender of the Week, respectively, with Boeder eventually earning the first national weekly award of the season for the Warriors after being dubbed the National Defender of the Week yesterday by the NAIA. Roginski piled up 20 kills on a .435 kill percentage, which she currently leads all pin position players in across the conference, while Boeder sent 16 attacks by opposing players back to their side of the court to average nearly three blocks per set.

Across the CCC, five teams are now ranked and three more are receiving votes but not quite enough to crack into the top 25. Eastern Oregon and Corban continue to represent the west coast as two of the top four ranked teams in the country, with Lewis-Clark State College moving up to No. 14 and C of I falling just three spots to No. 15, giving the CCC four of the top fifteen ranked squads nationally. Additionally, Northwest University secured their first national poll appearance of the year moving into the No. 23-overall spot, while Walla Walla University, Bushnell University, and SOU are all receiving votes.

This upcoming weekend, the Warriors will host a pair of crucial CCC matchups representing the final week of contests before the midway point of the conference schedule is reached, as they'll welcome the RV Wolves (7-4, 5-3) on Friday at 2pm and No. 14-ranked LC State (9-2, 6-2) the following afternoon at 4pm to Tim Hills Court for two incredibly meaningful home matches.
