Roginski, Bischoff Named to AVCA First Team All-Region Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For a sixth-consecutive season, the No. 5-ranked Corban University Women's Volleyball team was represented by student-athletes in the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) All-Region Teams for NAIA programs, with senior opposite hitter Makayla Roginski and junior outside hitter Emma Bischoff each receiving First Team All-West accolades by AVCA after completing outstanding regular seasons within the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC).

Both Roginski and Bischoff earned First Team All-Conference honors following their dominant runs through the CCC, with the duo combine to lead the efficient Corban offense in points per game, kills per game, and service aces per game. Roginski was the ACVA West Region Freshman of the Year in 2022 but making her first appearance as a First Team selection, while Bischoff received First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors for the first time in her indoor women's volleyball career.

"Makayla has continued to put in the work, always pushing herself to grow and get better each day," began Warriors' head coach Kim McLain when asked to discuss one of her senior leaders. "She brings an energy and competitive fire every time she steps on the court. This honor of First Team All-Region is truly well deserved and a reflection of her commitment and heart for the game. I'm blessed and honored to coach her!"

When asked to talk about her standout outside hitter, McLain shared, "Emma earning First Team All-Region reflect her dedication and the standard she holds herself to every day. She consistently pushes herself on and off the court, striving to grow in every area of her game. Her passion for volleyball shows in the way she competes and in the energy that she brings to her teammates. Emma is the kind of player who gives generously to those around her and lifts our program by how she leads. She is truly an honor to coach, and I look forward to the journey ahead with her."

Roginski and Bischoff will lead the Warriors into their national quarterfinal matchup tomorrow afternoon at 2pm CT/12pm PT, as they will look to knock off the two-time defending national champions in No. 8-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University (30-4) if they want to advance to a second-straight national semifinal round and for a third time in the past four seasons. The contest will be streamed for free both on the Urban Edge Network and NAIA Network.
