SALEM, Ore. – Corban University beach volleyball head coach Dan Stephens brings in eight talented newcomers to support his heavily returned roster. With four transfers and four true freshmen, this recruiting class brings a range of experience and strengths, yet the majority holds four years of NAIA eligibility.
"This year's recruits have blended into the team, and they are making good improvements on the court," shared Coach Stephens when asked to discuss his most recent recruiting class. "It's been fun coaching them thus far and I am excited to see their impact on our program this season and in the years to come."
The newly rostered additions to the Corban beach volleyball program can all be found below with a brief biography of the unique resumes they bring to the team.
Alexis Adebodun | 5-7 | Junior | Sacramento, Calif. | Christian Brothers HS | Sierra College
Adebodun is added to the Navy and Gold team with the ability and experience to elevate the beach program to another championship tournament campaign. Competing for two years in both indoor and beach volleyball at Sierra, Adebodun was named First Team All-Conference and qualified for the State Pairs Tournament. Her partnership finished second in the Big 8 Conference Pairs tournament, and she led her team at the 1s pair to a Big 8 Conference Championship in the spring of 2024. In high school, Adebodun was an All-League right-side hitter, and her team made it to the second round of the state tournament with a 30-7 record.
Academic All-State student-athlete, Adebodun, will continue studying biokinetics with plans to become a physical therapist.

Kiarah Bryant | 5-8 | Freshman | Woodburn, Ore. | Woodburn HS
Despite not playing beach before Corban, Bryant brings athleticism and competitive edge to the program. At Woodburn, she was a three-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, and running track and field. Bryant was a two-time All-League honorable mention volleyball player, and two-time All-League honorable mention basketball player. She also captured the school record for most blocks in a season.
With dreams of becoming a writer, Bryant will study creative writing during her time at Corban.

Gabi Engels | 5-9 | Freshman | Southlake, Texas | Carroll Senior HS | Univ. of Texas at Dallas
Engels unites with the Warrior roster as a proven competitor with the potential to make a significant impact this upcoming season. Although carrying four years of beach volleyball eligibility, Engels spent two seasons indoors playing NCAA DII volleyball where she earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the American Southwest Conference. She was a two-time Academic All-ASC student-athlete and named on the dean's list in 2023. In high school, Engels received Honorable Mention and Second-Team All-District awards during her three years of varsity volleyball. Â
Engels is pursuing a degree in biology with plans of becoming a physician's assistant.

Katie Fraley | 5-10 | Freshman | Monmouth, Ore. | Central HS | Chemeketa CC
Fraley connects with the Corban beach program with four years eligibility in the NAIA. With two years of collegiate experience as an outside hitter, she brings height and aggressive offense to the sand. In high school, Fraley played four years of volleyball and a season of golf.
Despite being undecided, Fraley is leaning toward completing a degree in kinesiology.

Gracey Janiszewski | 5-9 | Freshman | Reedsport, Ore. | Reedsport Community Charter School
Janiszewski joins the Navy and Gold as a multifaceted high school athlete. She participated in three years of varsity volleyball, three years of varsity swimming, and four years of varsity track and field. Janiszewski was the 2024 Women's Discus District Champion and an Oregon State Finalist her final season in Reedsport.
Janiszewski joins the elementary education program with plans to become a 5th grade teacher.

Kaley Sitton | 5-9 | Freshman | Lyons, Ore. | Stayton HS
Staying close to home, Sitton is a new addition to the Corban beach program with four years of eligibility. In high school, she played all four years of varsity volleyball and earned All-League honorable mention her junior year and Second Team All-League her final season.
True freshman, Sitton enters Corban undecided and exploring different career options.

Maddox Snider | 5-7 | Freshman | Rickreall, Ore. | McNary HS | Lane CC
Transferring after two years of collegiate indoor volleyball, Snider enters the Warrior roster with four years of beach volleyball eligibility. During her four years of high school volleyball, she received First Team All-League, Second Team All-State, and Academic All-State honors. Snider was also named Athlete of the Year at McNary.
Snider is pursuing a degree in applied kinesiology while playing beach volleyball at Corban.

Kylie Strang | 5-7 | Freshman | Tucson, Ariz. | Canyon del Oro HS
As the sole out-of-state true freshman, Strang arrives in the Pacific Northwest to play in her first collegiate beach volleyball season for the Navy and Gold. She is the only recruit in her class to have competed in beach volleyball for her high school. Strang led her high school teams to a State Championship Runner-up finish in both indoor and beach volleyball.
Honor roll student-athlete, Strang will obtain a degree in kinesiology during her time at Corban.
