ASHLAND, Ore. – Needing a pair of dual victories this afternoon to clinch the outright Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) regular season championship today at the Southern Oregon University conference tournament, the No. 2-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball team opened up with a dominant 5-0 sweep of Simpson University before clinching the title outright with a 3-2 win over the No. 7-ranked Raiders. The two wins today improved Corban to 13-0 in CCC action and guarantees them back-to-back regular season championships while earning the right to host the inaugural CCC Championships on April 10th, 11th, and 12th.
"We were in the battle we expected today, and it was great getting the wins," began Corban head coach Dan Stephens regarding today's championship-clinching victories. "This was a big team effort covering for each other and pushing through some tough matches. We seldom do a shout out to an individual in a game recap but today we will. Kai stepped into the two's pairing today to cover for an injured player, and she gave us an outstanding performance, getting wins in both matches with partner Danae. This team definitely has each other's backs, and we expect that to continue as we proceed."

Dual 1 – #2 Corban 5, Simpson 0
Another 5-0 sweep for the Warriors (15-1, 13-0) kicked off the CCC tourney in Ashland this weekend, as Corban took every set against the Red Hawks (0-10, 0-10) to secure at least a season series victory over Simpson. The most points allowed by a Navy and Gold pair came in duplicate 21-12 results in the twos and fours, with the Warriors dominating every facet of the match.
In the second overall pairing, redshirt freshman Kaile'a Ontai stepped in for an injured Warrior to compete alongside sophomore Danae Stokes for the first time all year, where the duo made quick work of Red Hawks' Madison Kammuller and Paige Creasey to clinch the third pair of the dual and thus, the winning result in favor of Corban.

Dual 2 – #2 Corban 3, #7 SOU 2
In their third and final regular season matchup with the nationally ranked Raiders (8-7, 6-3), the Navy and Gold jumped out to an early 2-0 pair lead thanks to a straight-set sweep by junior Alexis Adebodun and freshman Gabi Engels in the fours, followed by a three-set thriller for Ontai and Stokes in the twos.
After suffering the first threes loss of the 2025 conference slate and a rare loss in the fives, the Warriors' championship hopes rested on the result of senior Megan Dennis and sophomore Emma Bischoff in the top overall pairing. In the rubber match between Corban's top duo and Southern Oregon's Madi Gray and Tessa Zimmerman, Dennis and Bischoff dug deep when it mattered most down the stretch of the first and second sets to secure extra-point victories, 22-20 and 23-21, in both periods and lock up Corban's second-consecutive CCC crown.
