SALEM, Ore. – With the recent conclusion of the 2024-25 academic school year, the Corban University Athletic department has announced the 30th annual Warrior Championship Classic to kickstart the upcoming school year with the department's largest fundraising event every summer, which will be held on Monday, August 18th at Creekside Golf Club in south Salem just six miles from the foot of the Warriors' campus. The event will feature a complete round of competitive golf with dozens of teams in attendance, personalized box lunches to be picked up and enjoyed throughout the 18-holes played, along with an awards ceremony/dessert directly following the competition portion with plenty of opportunities to bid in a silent auction, along with much more for members of Warrior Nation.
"This tournament is one of the best days of the year for Corban University," shared Warriors' director of athletics Bill Pilgeram. "By combining golf, food, and fellowship with so many supporters of Warrior Athletics, we have an opportunity to directly support our student-athletes while participating in one of our most popular events and officially kick off the upcoming school year."
In collaboration with the Warrior Championship Classic Committee, Pilgeram and his department have been working meticulously to improve upon the tournament's overall expectations and execution using the feedback provided by community and sponsorship partners who participated in last year's event. Every varsity sport offered at Corban will have representatives at the event this year around the course on each of the eighteen holes at Creekside, thus providing Warrior Nation and sponsors with an opportunity to further grow their relationships with every student-athlete, coach, and administrator who all work night and day to represent the Corban athletic department.
