SALEM, Ore. – The 2025 regular season for the Corban University Women's Volleyball program will serve as a pivotal turning point for the squad in the years to come, as the Warriors will host their first ever home non-conference tournament before the start of Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) play that will feature a handful of competitive programs from across the country meeting on Tim Hills Court. The highlight of the 2025 slate will showcase seven-consecutive home matches for the Navy and Gold within the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center that will include both the non-conference tourney and the first four games of CCC action.

Warriors' head coach Kim McLain shared, "We are excited for the 2025 season and getting to start out on the road against some very talented teams in the NAIA before returning to host our own tournament for the first time under my coaching tenure on our home court. We have a tough non-conference schedule planned out, which is designed to expose our weaknesses while challenging us against some of the best competition the NAIA has to offer. This preparation is essential as we aim to tackle a difficult conference schedule this fall. We are looking forward to the journey ahead, pushing to get better and growing as a family one day at a time!"
For the third-straight season, McLain and the Warriors will open their competitive slate with a pair of home scrimmages against local junior colleges, as they'll invite Rogue Community College and Linn-Benton Community College on Thursday, August 14th to partake in 3pm and 6pm scrimmages on Tim Hills Court, respectively. Their only other non-counting contest of the season will take place on Monday, August 18th at 6pm within the Viking Pavilion against NCAA DI Portland State University.
The regular season will officially kickoff for the Warriors in St. Louis, Missouri at the Spartan Invitational, where they will battle four nationally ranked opponents on back-to-back days on the campus of Missouri Baptist University. Day one on August 21st will consist of a rematch with St. Thomas University from their 2023 pool play matchup, followed by their 2024 non-conference tourney host in Viterbo University. The following afternoon, Corban volleyball will battle Midland University before taking on the tournament host Spartans at 4pm CT.
For the first time since the 2009 season, the Navy and Gold will compete in a counting contest against crosstown rival and NCAA DII school Western Oregon University, with the Wolves hosting the Warriors for a 6:30pm match on Tuesday, August 26th in Monmouth.
The following weekend, Corban and CCC travel partner Bushnell University will share host responsibilities for the 2025 Hampton Inn Classic, which will feature the Warriors and Beacons playing host to three other NAIA programs from three different states. Carroll College, Our Lady of the Lake, and Oklahoma Wesleyan University will all partake in the inaugural home non-conference tourney, which will see eight different matchups played out within the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center across August 29th and 30th. The Navy and Gold will close out each day on the court, starting with OLLU at 6pm on Friday. Corban will then play back-to-back matchups on Saturday at 4:30pm and 7pm against Carroll and Oklahoma Wesleyan, respectively.
After cohosting their final matchups of the non-conference slate, the Warriors and Beacons will clash on Wednesday, September 3rd back on Tim Hills Court to open up CCC play with a rivalry matchup. Corban will return to their home gym the next evening at 6pm against Warner Pacific University in the first year of the "lone wolf" scheduling aspect that will see a majority of the CCC sponsored varsity sports compete against their travel partner and WPU within the same week due to the loss of Multnomah-Jessup's athletic programs over this past school year. Northwest University and The Evergreen State College will visit the capital city to close out Corban's seven-game homestand the following weekend.
The Warriors' first road trip of the conference schedule will undoubtedly be the most difficult across the Pacific Northwest, as they'll visit The College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon University, Oregon Tech, and Southern Oregon University across an eight-day window. The aforementioned CCC foes were responsible for four of Corban's six overall losses from the 2024 regular season.
At the conclusion of their grueling road trip, the Navy and Gold will return home to host Walla Walla University and Lewis-Clark State College across the opening weekend of October before hitting the road once again for same-day outings to Eugene and Portland as the second half of conference competition begins at Bushnell and Warner Pac.
One of the most exciting weekends on Tim Hills Court this fall will be on October 17th and 18th when the Warriors host the Mountaineers and Yotes in matchups that will surely play a part in seeding for the 2025 conference playoffs. Another back-to-back set of road trips will represent the end of October and beginning of November for the Navy and Gold, as they'll visit the Washington campuses of the Geoducks, Eagles, and Wolves, before a slight hop over the Idaho border where they'll battle their mascot twins.
Finally, the regular season will come to a close with a pair of crucial matchups atop Corban's campus, as they'll host the Raiders and Lady Owls' on November 7th and 8th for what have historically resulted in fantastic head-to-head matchups for volleyball fans.
The 2025 CCC Tournament, which is set to take place on November 14th and 15th on the campus of the regular season champion, will continue to hold a play-in round for the third-straight season to include both the seventh and eighth ranked programs by season's end. The fifth and sixth seeded teams will host the play-in contests on November 11th before sending the winners and the top four ranked teams to the six-team single elimination tournament the following weekend.
The NAIA National Tournament is scheduled to begin the next weekend at various campus sites across the nation, with the top 24 teams in the NAIA hosting an Opening Round matchup on their home courts on November 22nd. The victors of each Opening Round site contest will advance to the NAIA Championship Final Site for pool play, which will begin on December 3rd and conclude with a national champion being crowned on the 9th.
