Corban Volleyball Ranked Top Three Nationally Entering 2025 Regular Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the 2025 Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, where the Corban University Women's Volleyball program secured a top three ranking to kick off the upcoming fall campaign as the highest ranked team up and down the west coast of the United States. Following their top four finish in the 2024 NAIA National Tournament as a national semifinalist for the second time in three seasons, the Navy and Gold will begin the 2025 non-conference slate as one of the top votes-receiving squads across the country.

"It is an honor to be ranked within the top three in the NAIA national coaches' poll," Warriors' head coach Kim McLain explained. "This recognition reflects the dedication and commitment of our team and support staff. While we are proud to receive this ranking, we understand that continued success requires discipline, grit, and constant effort. Our focus remains on improving every day and preparing for the challenges ahead in our non-conference and Cascade Collegiate Conference schedules!"

For a 48th consecutive national poll dating back to the 2018 season, the Corban women's volleyball team appeared within the top twenty-five programs in the entire country and are ranked within the top five at least once for a fifth-straight year. Their forty-eight consecutive national poll appearances are the third longest active streak among all programs across the nation, and the Warriors are the highest ranked of three Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) teams within the top six to start the 2025 regular season.

Coach McLain is returning four starters from her six-woman lineup and six total key student-athletes from the 2024 rotation, giving her one of the most experienced groups within both the CCC and greater NAIA. Her three-headed senior staff of setter Abby Guindy, opposite hitter Makayla Roginski, and middle blocker/outside hitter Gracie Boeder are all set to jump back into their starting roles and lead the fourteen total returners and four freshman newcomers into battle this upcoming season.

Following their upcoming doubleheader scrimmages this Thursday against Rogue Community College and Linn-Benton Community College as well as a Monday scrimmage with NCAA DI Portland State University, the Warriors will hit the road for one of the biggest non-conference tournaments across the NAIA. The Navy and Gold will battle four-straight top 20 programs in their opening weekend, which will include matchups with No. 9-ranked St. Thomas University, No. 16-ranked Viterbo University, No. 20-ranked Midland University, and finally the tournament hosts in No. 19-ranked Missouri Baptist University.
