CCC Coaches’ Preseason Poll Predicts Corban Men’s Soccer Returns to Postseason Contention

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2025 Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll earlier today, where the Corban University Men's Soccer program was selected to finish two spots higher in the regular season standings than their 2024 final placement within the CCC. After missing the postseason for the first time in a decade, the Warriors are expected to return to the postseason via their eight-place prediction from the CCC head coaches with the return of their own legendary head coach in the form of Tim Kagey.

"I'm pleased to see the respect that the CCC head coaches have for our program," explained Coach Kagey when he learned of his team's eighth place prediction earlier today. "That being said, we're never satisfied with expectations and will consistently push ourselves to exceed predicted outcomes this upcoming season and years to come."

After securing the regular season championship in 2024, Carroll College (158) earned nine of the thirteen first place votes from the conference head coaches to sit atop the preseason rankings. The next four programs to round out the top five all received a single first place vote, as Southern Oregon University (148), Eastern Oregon University (141), Warner Pacific University (128), and The College of Idaho (126) are all separated by just 22 total voter points.

The final three teams predicted to finish with postseason qualifications are Rocky Mountain College (104), Oregon Tech (91), and the Navy and Gold (68). The Warriors handed the Hustlin' Owls a 3-1 loss last year and will look to flip the predicted standings in their final road game of the 2025 regular seasons.

Following Corban in the men's soccer coaches' preseason poll was Northwest University (59), Bushnell University (56), The Evergreen State College (46), the University of Providence (40)m and Walla Walla University (13). The Warriors finished the 2024 conference slate with a 3-1-1 record against the five teams below them in this year's preseason poll and will attempt to become 5-0-0 in 2025.

The top eight teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season will all earn automatic trips to the CCC Tournament, which will be hosted at the Lithia Driveway Fields complex in Medford, Oregon beginning on November 8th and concluding with a conference champion being crowned on the 12th.

Corban men's soccer is scheduled to open their season next Thursday, August 21st on the road against NCAA DIII Whitman College with a 12pm start time. On Saturday, the Navy and Gold will host a 10am friendly scrimmage at the Outdoor Athletic Complex (OAC) against NWAC school Chemeketa Community College.
