"We're really proud of both our men's and women's cross country programs for how hard they worked in the classroom this past fall semester," explained Warriors' associate head coach Stuart Eagon. "The cross country teams at Corban have always been committed to both excellence in athletic performance and in school, and that shows in the GPAs that our teams end up with pretty much year in and year out. I'm really proud of the teams for their hard work."
The Navy and Gold saw both their men's and women's programs qualify for the team awards, where the entire squad must hold a 3.00 team cumulative GPA at the minimum while maintaining eligibility while at Corban. The Warrior women's team posted a 3.77 cumulative GPA, which was the eighth highest mark across the NAIA, while the men secured a 3.37 GPA and placed within the top thirty of qualifying programs.
On an individual basis, student-athletes must also qualify with a 3.25 cumulative GPA and participate in the most recent NAIA National Championships to earn the additional distinction of All-Academic Athlete by the USTFCCCA. For Corban University, four separate student-athletes earned the individual recognition, with a single female and three male honorees. Senior Abigail Oosterhout from the women's team was the lone female recipient, while seniors Zander Moha and Nathan Pfaff were joined by junior Braydon Lee on the men's side.
