Nine Warriors Among At-Large Sports Selected as CSC Academic All-District Recipients

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization announced the 2026 Academic All-District teams for men's and women's at-large programs across the country earlier this morning, where Corban University was represented by three different varsity squads earning at least one selection for the organization's Academic All-American program.

The CSC Academic All-America program is nominated and voted on by members of the CSC, which are the Sports Information Directors/Director of Athletic Communications from every NAIA institution. Each school's nominees must have met the following criteria to be eligible for the awards: at least sophomore standing both athletically and academically and have maintained at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA through their most recently completed semester. For the NAIA, collegiate sports considered within the at-large category include men's and women's competitive cheer/dance, bowling, golf, lacrosse, wrestling, men's volleyball, and women's beach volleyball. Each sport consists of varying competition requirements for their respective seasons, which can be found in depth on the CSC website by clicking HERE.

The Warrior beach volleyball program once again outperformed a majority of the nation's sand volleyball teams in 2026, as they secured five Academic All-District award winners following a national semifinalist season. Among the recipients this year is senior Alexis Adebodun, senior Gabi Engels, senior Emmi Marks, senior Erin Scott, and junior Emma Bischoff. Adebodun, Marks, and Bischoff have been selected for the award in consecutive seasons after earning Academic All-District accolades in 2025.

"This award always comes out well for us after a tough season, but it is an important award and needs celebrating!" exclaimed Corban beach head coach Dan Stephens. "These student-athletes worked hard on and off the courts to achieve both high academic acknowledgement and beach volleyball accolades. We are very proud of what they accomplished and the standard it sets for our program."

Representing the only male recipients among the at-large sports that Corban sponsors was three student-athletes from the Corban men's wrestling program, which includes senior Bo Davis, junior Isaiah Twait, and junior Armando Nicacio. Davis and Twait each earned their second-straight Academic All-District honors, with Twait and Nicacio set to return in 2026-27 for another go at All-American accolades as well.

"We're incredibly proud of Bo, Isaiah, and Armando for proving that excellence extends beyond the mats," Corban men's wrestling head coach Nolan Harris stated. "Their academic accolades showcase the discipline, character, and commitment they bring every day to our program and in everything that they do."

Sophomore Madelyn Moore of the Warrior women's golf team represents the lone representative from the Corban golf programs selected to Academic All-District honors, keeping the streak alive for the women's team who has now earned at least one selection in three-straight spring seasons to date.

"This is an outstanding award and honor for Maddy who definitely exemplified what it means to be a student-athlete," shared Moore's head coach, Charlie Marshall. "She's been able to stay disciplined in managing her time between classes and golf, and we've enjoyed having her leadership within our program through two seasons."

An NAIA-based selection committee consisting of members from the athletic communication departments across the country will now determine which of the All-District recipients will receive Academic All-American honors. Nominees will all be grouped together based on primary positions played across the diamond for the scholarly All-American status with both athletic and academic success taken into consideration.
