No. 20 Warriors Pummel NCAA Boxers, Enter Postseason Riding Road Dual Victory

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The No. 20-ranked Corban University Men's Wrestling program can firmly turn their attention to the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament with their regular season schedule now firmly behind them, as the Warriors wrestled just four weight classes today in a road dual at NCAA DIII Pacific University where they picked up a pair of pins and a decision to ride out a 33-15 victory.

"It was good to end the final dual of the regular season on a win," commented Corban head coach Nolan Harris earlier today. "I'm proud of our guys for competing, they got the job done and we came out healthy. We're excited to get back on the mats, fine tune a couple of areas, and continue to get healthy as we head into the conference tournament within our own city limits for the first time in program history."

Six forfeits were the unfortunate storyline of tonight's dual due to injuries on both sides of the mat, yet the visiting Warriors (9-8) picked up weight class wins at 157lbs, 165lbs, and 285lbs to earn their ninth dual win of the season which represents the second most in a single season by a Warrior men's wrestling squad.

Picking up head-to-head wins today for the Navy and Gold were No. 20-ranked junior Jr Downing at 157lbs via a 4:14 pin, redshirt sophomore Jesse Rubio at 165lbs with an 8-4 decision over Matthew Gary of Pacific, and No. 2-ranked Antonio Garcia who needed just under 90 seconds to pin his heavyweight opponent.
