"Small group at OSU to start spring break. Nice job from Madelynn today to get a college PR and hit the conference qualifier all at the same time," Corban head coach Todd Bos commented. "A quick breather for the group and then it is go-time when we return from spring break. The conference continues to improve, and we will need to be at our best to compete well. We pray for a safe spring break for everyone and look forward to the busiest and best time of the outdoor season when we return."
Senior thrower Madelynn Straus was the highlight of the weekend for the Warriors' small crew, as she hurled a 35.89m women's javelin mark to top her all-time personal best and qualify for the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships at the same time. Redshirt senior Kayla Morgan placed third in the women's high jump among the DI-heavy field, while junior Aden Dardis finished 19th in the men's hammer throw.
The Corban men's and women's track & field programs will both be in action a week from today on March 28th at the Willamette Invitational, back at McCulloch Stadium where they competed three of the past five days.
