WICHITA, Kan. – For a third-consecutive postseason, the No. 23-ranked Corban University Men's Wrestling program finish the NAIA National Championships ahead of their national ranking and with multiple All-American finishers, as the Warriors secured a 17th place team finish overall while redshirt senior Antonio Garcia and junior Isaiah Twait locked up third and sixth place finishes in their respective weight class brackets, respectively, to earn back-to-back podium finishes once again for the 184 and 285-weight class duo.

"As with every national tournament, it's a rollercoaster filled with highs and lows," Warriors' head coach Nolan Harris shared shortly after their three-day competition in the central United States concluded. "For a second-straight year, we had multiple All-Americans and had our first ever third place finisher. I'm so proud of Toni coming back from a tough call and result in the semis. He picked up bonus points in both matches today and did a great job of opening matches. Isaiah, likewise, wrestled a great tournament and was composed throughout his second tournament back from a tough knee injury. I'm proud to see him back on the podium and excited to analyze his performance and identify areas of improvement. I was proud of all our guys and how they competed and conducted themselves throughout the three days in Wichita. Always tough to see performance goals unachieved, but it's definitely a privilege to be there to help them understand that we all want the mountaintop experience, but it's the valleys where the fruit is produced. It was another top twenty team finish, and we're looking to build off that as we shift our focus to next season."
With All-American honors already secured entering today's matches, both Twait and Garcia were battling purely for podium placements among the best competition the NAIA has to offer, with all four bouts today for the duo coming against nationally seeded wrestlers. At 184lbs, Twait's injury fatigue finally caught up with him in a technical fall loss to No. 2-seeded Kendall Norfleet from Life University and a 10-3 decision loss to No. 9-seeded Ashton Habeil of Lindsey Wilson University to settle for sixth place overall.
In the heavyweight consolation bracket, Garcia completed a 5-1 weekend in Kansas by pinning the No. 12-seeded grappler in 3:43 from Keiser University, Jordan Sommers, before tossing the No. 1-seed in Zeph Sivels from Midland University around for an 11-3 major decision in the third place matchup. Garcia is the first Warrior to ever finish third overall in the NAIA National Tournament.
