CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office has announced the McDonald's CCC Players of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for the competitions held between March 2nd and 8th, where the Corban University Baseball team earned their first Player of the Week award winner since the 2022 season with multiple Pitcher of the Week award winners, but no position players in nearly four years. Senior first baseman Peyton Rickard teed off on the entire Eastern Oregon University pitching staff to earn his first weekly honor from the conference, leading Corban to a 3-1 series win over the Mountaineers.

"Well deserved honor for Peyton!" Warriors' head coach Ryan Harris shared. "He had an incredible weekend and has been an absolute joy to coach. We're very proud of him and the impact he has made within our program."
Rickard has been one of the leading forces for the Warrior baseball program since the start of the season at the plate, on the field, and among their senior leadership group in a lead-by-example format. This past weekend, he finished the four-game set 9-for-18 at the plate, scoring four runs and plating five more via RBI. His slugging percentage was .675 after blasting a solo homer and double in game four and has now moved into second place across the conference in batting average for the season at .419 overall.
The Warriors will be led by Rickard into a five-week road trip that begins this upcoming weekend north of the US-Canadian border, as RV University of British Columbia (14-6, 8-1) welcomes them to a four-game CCC series.
