In a scoreless game heading into the 42nd minute, Corban was handed the lead at the 41:30 mark when Northwest Christian scored an own goal to give the visiting Warriors a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Junior

Five minutes into the second half, Corban would increase its lead to two goals (2-0) when Leptich and Hagen teamed on the Warriors' only official goal of the night. On the play, Leptich would get a pass to Hagen who lifted a high crossing shot just to the right of a diving NCU keeper for the goal.
In the 58th minute, Northwest Christian would finally get on the board when Chris Longi drove home his team-leading third goal of the season. The scoring play would begin with a long throw-in from Lucas Cash before Andrew Poe tapped a loose ball in front of the net back to Longi, who rifled a shot into the back of the net from eight yards out to bring the Beacons within striking distance at 2-1.
Just under twenty minutes later, NCU's Travis Brown scored the equalizer on a high looping shot from 20 yards out that eluded the out-stretched arm of Corban's goalkeeper for his first goal of the season that knotted the score at 2-2.
Neither team would score again in regulation sending the game into extra periods.
