BOX SCORE LA MIRADA, Calif. – Corban University concluded its Southern California road trip with a 7-1 loss at Biola University on Monday.
After winning its first game on the tour featuring three opponents ranked in the NAIA top-25, the Warriors (2-5) suffered four consecutive defeats.
Biola got on the board in the third inning on a solo home run by Michael Annunziata and extended its lead to 3-0 with two runs in the fourth. The Eagles (7-11) scored a lone run in the sixth and tallied three more in the seventh – the big blow being a two-run blast by Sam Thorne.
Corban avoided the shutout in the eighth getting singles from
Marc Gallegos,
Daniel Orr and
Tyler Bennett. The Warriors left the bases loaded in the inning and stranded 11 for the game. Corban out-hit Biola 10-9, but the Eagles were issued eight walks by Warriors pitching.

Austin Guzzon took the loss on the mound.
Corban returns to Oregon and will play next in the Cascade Collegiate Conference/Northwest Conference Challenge hosted by Concordia University. The Warriors will play Linfield College in McMinnville on Friday at 5 pm. The club will play three weekend games in the tourney at Hilken Community Stadium in Portland.
