Warriors suffered a tough loss to No. 12-ranked The Masters College

Corban edged by No. 12 The Masters College, 4-3

BOX SCORE LA MIRADA, Calif – Playing at Biola University, No. 12-ranked The Master's College broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-out RBI single to defeat Corban, 4-3.
 
The Mustangs (17-2) managed just five hits in the game, but used four singles and a base on balls off starter Jacob Kopra to score three times in the bottom of the first inning.  The senior right-hander settled in to toss the next four innings without allowing a run or hit as Corban rallied to tie.
 
The Warriors (2-4) got on the board in the second when Gregg Romero walked and went to third on a Davis Alderman base hit.  Romero then scored on a ground ball.
 
Corban cut the deficit to 3-2 in the fifth.  Vince Gonzalez singled and advanced to second on a balk.  Gonzalez moved to third on a single by Marc Gallegos and came home on a Landon Frost bunt.
 
A two-out rally knotted the contest in the seventh.  Frost got things going with a double and Daniel Orr brought in the tying run with a single.
 
Eli Driessen suffered the loss in relief of Kopra.  Driessen allowed just one hit in 2.2 innings, but the single was the game-winner following a leadoff base on balls in the eighth.
 
Corban had nine hits against The Masters.  Frost delivered a pair of doubles, while Alderman and Gallegos each singled twice.
