KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Corban University softball team remained in the NAIA Top-25 Poll in the first regular-season edition in 2016, coming in at No. 23.
The Warriors dropped down six slots from the preseason poll at No. 17, but it marks the 10th-straight top-25 poll that the Warriors have been in dating back to last year. Corban is one of two Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) teams in the top 25, as Wednesday's opponent, Southern Oregon University, is ranked No. 16. For the Raiders, it ties the highest-ever ranking for the program.
Corban is currently 17-10 on the year with a 3-3 mark in CCC play. The Raiders boast a 15-7 overall record and a 3-1 record in conference action.
First pitch in Wednesday's marquee matchup of the CCC's two ranked squads is set for 10 a.m. at Hood View Park in Happy Valley, Ore. Live stats will be available online.
