ASHLAND, Ore. – The Corban University women's wrestling team rounded out their road regular season on Friday night in Ashland. The Navy and Gold was blanked by the Raiders, 46-0.
The Cascade Conference dual started with Southern Oregon's Emma Baertlein defeating Brooke Burrows by technical fall, and the Navy and Gold had to forfeit the 109-pound category, giving the top-ranked Raiders an early advantage.
After that, Southern displayed the depth of their talent, when Tara Othman (116) and Carolina Moreno (123) defeated Tess Barnett and Kendall Martin by technical fall.
Then, No.1- ranked Sienna Ramirez and Bailey Dennis delivered back-to-back pins against Alexys Zepeda and Gabrielle Tata-Rodrigues.
The Warriors forfeited three other match ups, determining a final score of 46-0.
Corban (1-2) will close out its regular-season schedule on February 10, on their home mat, in the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center with duals against Eastern Oregon and Pacific University. The first dual will begin at 5 p.m.
