ASHLAND, Ore. – The 2022 Corban University men's and women's track & field season has been one to remember. The season has seen several athletes slashing school records, and sitting near the top of the NAIA leaderboard, but now, as the campaign begins to wind down, Corban looks eagerly ahead to this weekend's Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, which serve as an opportunity for the program to go toe-to-toe with the CCC's best in the conference's culminating meet.

The event will take place over the course of both Friday and Saturday, with a full schedule of events available HERE.
Overall, the Warriors will be sending about 30 athletes to the meet, looking to hold their own among one of the NAIA's most talented track & field conferences.
On the men's side, fans will want to keep an eye on Robert Swoboda, who has put together a historic season in the distance events for the Navy and Gold. Swoboda will be competing in the 5000m run, and will look to bring home the conference crown in the event.
Seth Tripp, also an experienced runner, will race in the 100m and 200m sprints in hopes of earning himself a place on the podium and earning some points for the Warriors.
The men's 4x100-meter relay team boasts a talented quartet which consists of Jericho Peters, Jesse Squires, Micah Bos, and Will Maupin. The group is sitting in fourth place currently, but will hope to peak at the right time.
For the women, standout Gracie Long is a legitimate contender for a top-three finish in the 3000m steeplechase. Samantha Dara has been running well down the stretch for Corban and will look to continue her upward trend this weekend. She currently ranks fifth in the CCC in the 5000m.
Kendra Murphy has her eyes on All-Conference accolades, sitting at No. 3 in the CCC in the high jump (5' 3"). If the veteran jumper competes at the level she has shown herself capable of, she could be a valuable point-getter for the Navy and Gold along with Valerie Schmidt who will compete in the 100m hurdles and the long jump. She is ranked fourth and fifth respectively, but like Long, Dara, and Murphy, is a contender for a place on the podium.
