SEATTLE, Wash. – In her first appearance of the 2025 indoor season after a record setting breakout performance in 2024, redshirt junior Kayla Morgan of the Corban University Track & Field program literally set the bar for the rest of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) and greater NAIA scope today by hitting the national "A" standard for women's high jump as the lone Warrior to attend the University of Washington Indoor Preview.

"This was a great way to start the indoor season with Kayla's A-standard jump," explained Corban head coach Todd Bos. "Big props to Coach Kelly Holding for her excellent work with Kayla. Of course, we thank God for the ability to compete for His glory and for the successful start to the season."

Morgan, who previously set the program record in the women's high jump last season and even set a new CCC record during the 2024 outdoor championships, hit the national indoor "A" standard of 1.70m in Seattle earlier today where she exceeded opener expectations finish in a two-way tie for third place overall among a cohort of NCAA DI jumpers. She finished in a tie at 1.70m with Dede Norman from Oregon State University, with six more DI student-athletes, five DII, and an NAIA competitor behind her in the event's final standings.

The Warrior track & field program will partially be in action next Friday in Moscow, Idaho, where the men's long-distance group will be in action at the Lauren McClusky Invite on the campus of NCAA DI University of Idaho.
