ASHLAND, Ore. – For all but two Warriors on the Corban University Men's and Women's Track & Field programs, the 2025 spring competitive season has come to a close at Raider Stadium on the campus of Southern Oregon University, as the men's program rallied to tie for fifth place overall with the host Raiders while the women secured a seventh-place finish. Three more All-Conference honors were clinched by Navy and Gold student-athletes in their respective events, led by redshirt junior Kayla Morgan and her second-consecutive CCC high jump title. Additionally, both the men's and women's teams were selected to the 2025 Team Sportsmanship Awards as they continue to represent Corban University with incredible class and sincere virtue with every passing meet.
"We went down to this year's conference meet looking to establish a competitive identity for the programs," explained Corban head coach Todd Bos when asked to discuss the two days of competition in southern Oregon. "These teams have done a good job this year building a good Christian community, but we wanted to also compete to the best of our God-given abilities. How well we did at this meet helped accomplish our goal of setting a competitive standard for future teams. Last year at the conference meet, our combined men's and women's team scores was about 50 points, and this year we scored over 100 combined points. God has really blessed our team with great assistant coaches and good talented student-athletes. We look forward to seeing what He does with our programs in the future."

For the second time in two seasons, Morgan leapt her way to an individual conference crown after flying to the 1.72m mark with no misses on her previous three opening heights, battling to a three-way finish with University of British Columbia's Sarah Pimblett and Southern Oregon's Abi Stevens. After all three student-athletes were unable to clear the 1.72m height, Morgan was crowned the CCC champ following tiebreaker procedure and locked up Corban's fourth All-Conference award of the weekend thus far.
Moving to the track, junior DJ Armstead took to the men's 100m race looking to avenge his fourth-place finish in yesterday's 400m final heat and did so in astonishing fashion, as he sprinted to a new program record 10.65 final time finishing right behind the event winner who set a meet record in the process. He surpassed his personal best and previous program record time of 10.69 for the squad's third runner-up finish of the weekend and another eight points on the team scoreboard.
After clinching an All-Conference honor in yesterday's 1,500m race, sophomore Braydon Lee became the only multi-award winner this weekend for the Corban track & field programs, as he moved up from his 800m sixth-overall seed to clinch a third place via his 1:53.61 final time. Lee has now earned All-Conference and/or All-American accolades in both of his collegiate track & field seasons of competition thus far.
Another twelve top ten finishes on top of the All-Conference award winners were clinched today by Warriors, including senior Gabrielle Tata-Rodrigues (fourth in women's discus – 39.82m), senior Kristi Hirte (fifth in women's 400m hurdles – personal best 1:076.48), sophomore Jackson Cook (sixth in men's triple jump – 12.59m), senior Keelyn O'Reilly (seventh in women's javelin – 36.59m), junior Madelynn Straus (eighth in women's javelin – season best 35.44m), freshman Julianna Bell (eighth in women's triple jump – 9.85m), sophomore Aden Dardis (eighth in men's discus – 39.33m), sophomore Benjamin Krebs (ninth in men's 100m – 10.95), freshman Carrie Babcock (ninth in women's 5,000m – 18:55.60), senior Will Maupin (tenth in men's high jump – season best 1.77m), freshman Aaden Ackley (tenth in men's 400m hurdles – personal best 58.15), and sophomore Kirsten Kuenzi (tenth in women's 200m – 25.93).
Tata-Rodrigues bested her own school record in the women's hammer throw yesterday with a 50.02m mark to close out her historic Corban career with a pair of top five finishes within the CCC. She concludes her time as a Warrior with program records in women's discus and hammer throw while also holding a top five mark in women's shot put.
The Warriors' men's and women's 4x400m relay teams both closed out the 2025 CCC Championships with season best times, as the men's foursome comprised of Maupin, Armstead, freshman Julius Pokorny, and Lee legged out a fifth-place 3:27.12, while the women's squad of freshman Haley Kline, Kuenzi, sophomore Shaelee Killorn, and Morgan wrapped up their relay season with a 4:12.33 and sixth overall placement.
Morgan and sophomore 10,000m runner Jack Gladfelter will begin making their final preparations for the 2025 NAIA National Championships, which are scheduled to begin on May 21st and run through the 23rd. Gladfelter's finals heat will be ran on the 21st at 6:10pm PT, while Morgan will participate in the women's high jump finals that begin at 11am PT on the 23rd where she will enter as the second-seeded jumper barring any new personal best marks set over the conference meets across the country.
