MOSCOW, Idaho – A clan of six Warriors from the Corban University Men's and Women's Track & Field programs completed their first indoor events of 2025 earlier today at the Lauren McClusky Memorial Invite in northwestern Idaho. Four men competed in the indoor mile, while a pair of women took to the track in their own mile race for a quick appearance for the Navy and Gold at the University of Idaho.

"It was fun to go and see out student-athletes compete in a brand-new facility for their first appearances in 2025," Warriors' assistant coach and long-distance specialist Stuart Eagon commented on his six competitors' efforts today. "Braydon closed very fast in a race where the pace was slow and will be ready to qualify in the 1,000m next week in our first home meet. Our student-athletes learned from their races, and it was a good start for them to indoor season."
Sophomore Braydon Lee, the program's only indoor All-American who placed fifth nationally in the 800m race last winter, led the Warriors on the track today with a third-place finish in the men's mile, clocking a 4:14.89 to just barely finish outside of NAIA national qualifying pace in his first opportunity in 2025. Following Lee in the overall placements was junior Zander Moha (4:21.58) in 13th, sophomore Luke Harkey (4:35.26) in 34th, and senior Forrest Cooley (4:39.34) in 37th.
On the women's side, Carrie Babcock continued her impressive true freshman campaign in the 2024-25 school year with a 5:35.22 finish in the mile race to place 41st in her collegiate indoor opener, while freshman Makayla Rose (6:12.13) concluded the fourth heat of the event in 47th.
For the first time in Corban track & field history, the Warriors will host a meet at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on Saturday, February 1st, as they'll host the Corban Indoor Open starting at 11am with a handful of student-athletes from various local institutions scheduled to attend over the course of the day. More information will be made available regarding the meet over the course of the following days on the Corban track & field online schedules.
