SALEM, Ore. – With each progressing season, the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) continues to increase the quality of programs competing for both regular season, tournament, and NAIA National Championship titles, and the 2026 season will be no different for a Corban University Softball squad that anticipates several ranked matchups across their complete 42-game schedule. Sixteen of their contests this upcoming spring will be played out on Warrior Field, with twenty true road games and six neutral site matchups that will be played out in the non-conference portion of their schedule.

"This year we hope to get off to a great start early and compete right out of the gate," expressed head coach Jeff Covalt entering his second season leading the Warriors on the diamond. "Our conference is very strong, so we hope to get out ahead before we run into four ranked teams to end conference play. This year more so than last, the start is critical for us. We're excited to break open and keep the momentum going, go Warriors!"
Corban softball will kick off the 2026 season by traveling to newly added CCC member Simpson University for a CCC-GSAC round robin tourney, where the Dubs will face off twice against Park University Gilbert, Arizona Christian University, and Westcliff University for six total games across February 19th, 20th, and 21st.
The final weekend of February will co-feature both the Warriors' home opener and conference opener series, as the University of British Columbia will hop the northern border to visit Salem in a four-game set on the 27th and 28th at Warrior Field. The next ten games will all come on the road for the Navy and Gold, as they'll make stops in Portland, Eugene, and Forest Grove for CCC series with Warner Pacific University and Bushnell University before ending with a midweek doubleheader against NCAA DIII Pacific University.
Four of the Warriors' final six opponents in the 2026 regular season were ranked in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll last year, with the first represented by the defending national champions in Southern Oregon University who will visit Corban on March 20th and 21st. The Raiders suffered nine losses the entirety of their national championship season, one of which came at the hands of the Warriors in Ashland.
The last four CCC Tournaments have been hosted by the Lady Owls of Oregon Tech at John and Lois Stilwell Stadium, where the Warriors will visit to end the month of March before returning to their home field on Easter weekend against the CCC's "new kids on the block" from Redding, the aforementioned Simpson Red Hawks.
One final non-conference doubleheader with the Boxers will take place on April 8th back at Sherman/Larkins Stadium, followed by their last conference road series of the regular season at The College of Idaho on April 10th and 11th. Finally, the regular season concludes on the Dubs' own home field, with Eastern Oregon University set to visit on April 17th and 18th, with the Saturday doubleheader also representing Corban's Senior Day celebration.
The 2026 CCC Tournament will be hosted by the regular season champions and will take place from May 1st to 3rd at the respective champions' home field with the top six programs in the conference standings qualifying. The winner of the CCC tourney will earn the conference's only automatic bid to the 2026 NAIA National Tournament, which begins on May 11th with Opening Rounds that will be hosted on campus sites selected by the national organization based on bids submitted. The NAIA Softball World Series will once again be held at the South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Georgia, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 21st and played out through the following Wednesday with a new national champion being crowned in the tourney finale.
