Kagey Pens Twenty Warriors to 2025 Corban Men’s Soccer Roster

SALEM, Ore. – In his first season back in the navy and gold threads since the 2022 fall season, Corban University Men's Soccer head coach Tim Kagey has announced the twenty recruits who will be suiting up for the Warriors this upcoming fall slate, which includes recruits signed by both Coach Kagey and the program's prior head coach Josh Rios Noonkester. The twenty-man class consists of eleven Oregonians, four Californians, a Floridian, a Texan, and three international signees which includes five transfers and fifteen true freshmen.

"We're excited to build with this class and integrate them in with our returners," shared Coach Kagey. "All of our newcomers fill vital roles within our program's depth at multiple positions and will lead the Corban men's soccer program into the next generation of Warrior student-athletes."

Jude Barzousky | Defender | 6-2 | 170 lbs | Freshman | Santa Rose Beach, Fla. | Mount Greylock Regional HS

Having made one of the furthest cross-country trips possible across the continental United States, Barzousky completed the nearly 3,000 miles necessary to become a member of the Warriors' backfield unit. At Mount Greylock Regional High School, Barzousky was admitted into the CIAO Hall of Fame for his success as a boys' soccer student-athlete, having won a Western Mass Championship his senior season and played on the Eture FC club team across the Atlantic Ocean in Spain.

Hoping to eventually work in finance, Barzousky will begin his collegiate soccer career studying business administration.

 

Colin Bradley | Defender | 5-10 | 150 lbs | Freshman | San Diego, Calif | W. F. West HS

Bradley brings plenty of winning pedigree with him to the Corban men's soccer program, having earned league and Chronicle Cup championships as a key member of the W. F. West High School and Twin City Union FC soccer programs, respectively. He was named an Honorable Mention All-League recipient in 2024 while playing for the Bearcats and was a part of three league championships for W. F. West's boys' tennis team as a dual sport student-athlete.

With intentions of one day becoming an attorney, Bradley will make his first step towards attending law school by earning a degree in business administration.

 

Damian Duenas | Defender/Forward | 5-11 | 135 lbs | Freshman | Keizer, Ore. | McNary HS

Having been a part of three separate Mid-Valley Conference regular season championships during his playing career at McNary High School, Duenas brings All-League accolades with him to the Navy and Gold men's soccer program. Duenas will become the second member of his immediate family to play collegiate men's soccer within the Cascade Conference, as his father Joel was once a Knight for Warner Pacific University.

Business administration will be Duenas' major of choice entering his first season of competition for the Warriors.

 

Geovanny Escobar | Forward | 5-9 | 175 lbs | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | Blanchet Catholic HS

Escobar represents one of the few members within the 2025 Corban men's soccer recruiting class to secure First Team All-League, All-State, and Conference Most Valuable Player accolades during his high school playing career at Blanchet High School. His senior season, Escobar led the Bears to 10-5-1 overall record and stayed unbeaten through Special District 2 league play with a 6-0-1 record to eventually conclude his career with a top four OSAA 3A/2A/1A State Tournament finish as the No. 12-overall seed.

A degree in business administration from Corban will help net Escobar a professional career in marketing.

 

Manny Garcia | Defender | 6-0 | 145 lbs | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | West Salem HS

Yet another West Salem High School alumni, Garcia will relocate across Salem to the foot of Corban's campus following a four-year career with the Titans where he was named a First Team All-League recipient within the 6A Central Valley Conference. Garcia helped power West Salem into the OSAA State Tournament in three of his four seasons, which included a first round upset win on the road against Liberty High School to conclude his freshman year.

Sports and recreation management will represent Garcia's primary studies as he balances the life responsibilities of a collegiate men's soccer student-athlete.

 

Bryan Gutierrez | Defender/Midfielder | 5-11 | 170 lbs | Freshman | Salinas, Calif. | North Salinas HS

Monterey County All-Star accolades, First Team All-League honors in multiple seasons, and being named Team MVP of the North Salinas High School boys' soccer program provided Gutierrez with his opportunity to play collegiate men's soccer as a Warrior. He led his team to a Central Coast Section (CCS) regular season championship and would eventually finish as a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state runner-up.

Gutierrez has his sights set on a bachelor's degree in computer science as he competes for Corban men's soccer.

 

Aaron James | Defender/Forward | 6-0 | 165 lbs | Sophomore | Tarporley, England | Tarporley HS | Wheeling Univ.

One of two recruits to have crossed the Atlantic Ocean to play out their collegiate soccer careers, James journeys to the Mid-Willamette Valley after completing a season of competition for NCAA DII Wheeling University where he started all 18 games for the Cardinals, logging 1,322 as a true freshman and helping lead them to their first conference tournament semifinal match in an eight-year span. He's played on numerous club teams and competed in tourneys across Europe while securing league titles with both Northwich Victoria and Tarvin FC.

James will be studying business administration as he battles for the Warriors on the pitch.

 

Isai Juarez Mendoza | Midfielder | 5-5 | 150 lbs | Graduate Student | Salem, Ore. | South Salem HS | Warner Pacific Univ.

After completing his four-year bachelor's degree within the Cascade Collegiate Conference at Warner Pacific University, Juarez Mendoza returns to his roots in Salem to complete his graduate studies as a Warrior. He appeared in 19 contests for the Knights and logged over 450 total minutes across two seasons in the midfield.

Juarez Mendoza will begin a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling as he continues to play collegiate men's soccer within the CCC.

 

Diego Laureano | Midfielder | 5-9 | 145 lbs | Freshman | McAllen, Texas | McKay HS

Originally from southern Texas, Laureano represents one of six Scots from McKay High School to sign letters of intent to compete collegiate athletics from their boys' soccer program, as he'll bring years of experience to Corban in the form of both high school and club play having participated in matches for U-16 FC Juarez, U-16 Queretaro FC, U-17 Queretaro FC, and the UPSL Salem Panthers.

Laureano is expected to major in business administration as he competes in the navy and gold threads.

 

Iosea Leontescu | Midfielder | 5-8 |155 lbs | Freshman | West Linn, Ore. | Westside Christian HS

Three years aboard the boys' soccer program at Westside Christian High School is all Leontescu needed to earn multiple All-State honors, as he was named to both First and Second Team titles following the Eagles' annual runs to Lewis & Clark League regular season championships. During his junior year, Leontescu led Westside Christian to the No. 1-overall ranking and OSAA State Tournament seeding after completing a 16-2 overall record and eventually claimed runner-up status.

While his future profession is still undecided, Leontescu intends to study business administration during his freshman year at Corban.

 

Josue Lomeli | Midfielder | 5-6 | 140 lbs | Freshman | Hubbard, Ore. | North Marion HS

Lomeli touts a long list of athletic accomplishments after completing a four-year varsity boys' soccer career with North Marion High School, earning both First Team All-League and First Team All-State accolades while leading the Huskies to OSAA 4A State Championship match his senior year. Across four seasons as an active varsity team key reserve and eventual starter, Lomeli accrued 45 total wins and helped secure both a Tri-Valley Conference regular season championship and climb to as high as No. 2-overall in the OSAA 4A rankings.

Lomeli will begin his freshman year with introductory courses in Corban's school of business to earn a degree in accounting.

 

Anthony Marroquin-Chavez | Defender | 6-0 | 165 lbs | Freshman | Salem, Ore. | West Salem HS

Another Salem native choosing to stay local for his collegiate men's soccer career, Marroquin-Chavez represents one of two West Salem High School graduates to move across the Oregon capital for the 2025 fall season. He was a three-time All-League honoree for the Titans, having been named to Honorable Mention status in both 2022 and 2023 before locking up First Team honors to conclude his senior season.

Marroquin-Chavez will join one of Corban's most popular majors and begin working towards a degree in business administration.

 

Nathan Martinez | Forward | 5-8 | 160 lbs | Senior | Salem, Ore. | South Salem HS | Western Oregon Univ.

Martinez joins Coach Kagey's 2025 recruiting class after having played for him at NCAA DII Western Oregon University last season, where he appeared in four contests and scored a goal while logging 60 minutes within the Wolves' attacking front. He previously attended NCAA DI Utah Tech University where he played nearly 200 minutes across his freshman and sophomore seasons of eligibility before making a return to the Mid-Willamette Valley.

As the only senior student-athlete transfer in the 2025 men's soccer recruiting class, Martinez is expected to wrap up his business administration degree as a Warrior.

 

Akram Mesbah | Forward | 5-9 | 150 lbs | Freshman | Salinas, Calif. | Salinas HS | Hartnell College

Despite previously attending Hartnell College within the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), Mesbah will be utilizing his freshman year of eligibility with the Warriors during the 2025 fall campaign and expects to add a layer of depth to the Corban offensive attack.

Mesbah has committed to a degree in STEM (Science, technology, engineering & mathematics) with biology as his intended area of concentration.

 

Jonathan Meuser | Midfielder/Defender | 5-10 | 165 lbs | Freshman | Canby, Ore. | North Clackamas Christian HS

Having served as a varsity boys' soccer starter since his sophomore season with North Clackamas Christian High School, Meuser steadily climbed the 1A Valley 10 League rankings on a yearly basis, earning Honorable Mention All-League honors his junior year and Second Team honors following his senior campaign. In addition to his soccer prowess, Meuser also placed sixth in the OSAA State Championships for both the 1,500m and 3,000m races his third year as a Saint.

Meuser will represent the lone criminal justice major from the 2025 Corban men's soccer recruiting class.

 

Jaycob Miller | Forward/Defender | 5-8 | 160 lbs | Freshman | Prineville, Ore. | Crook County HS

Representing a three-year Varsity Captain for Crook County High School with 39 career goals and another 13 assists on his resume, Miller is a two-time First Team All-League recipient and was named the Tri-Valley League Player of the Year after becoming the all-time leading scorer in Cowboy program history. He led Crook County to the OSAA State Tournament Semifinals and was named an All-State honoree on two occasions with both a First Team and Second Team nod.

A degree in sports and recreation management will allow Miller to pursue a career in sports marketing.

 

Jake Singleton | Defender | 6-3 | 150 lbs | Freshman | San Jose, Calif. | Valley Christian HS

Singleton will trade the San Jose sunshine for crisp Oregon autumns during his upcoming fall season as a true freshman for the Warriors, as he completed three years aboard Valley Christian High School's boys' soccer program before signing his letter of intent to attend Corban. He was named a Second Team All-League recipient his sophomore season and was eventually named the Defensive MVP for Valley Christian Warriors.

An eye for real estate has Singleton targeting a degree in business administration while at Corban.

 

Callum Thompson | Goalkeeper | 5-11 | 170 lbs | Redshirt Sophomore | West Sussex, England | Imberhorne School | Point Univ.

Yet another England-born goalkeeper for the Corban men's soccer program, Thompson will follow in the footsteps of Warrior legend Quinn McCallion as a redshirt sophomore transfer from fellow NAIA institution Point University. Thompson made nine starts in eleven appearances for the Skyhawks across two seasons, securing 43 saves during his freshman campaign to rank third in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) in 2023 and was named to the SSAC All-Academic Teams in both 2023 and 2024.

A degree in counseling psychology awaits Thompson at Corban and will one day utilize his collegiate education to become a teacher.

 

Oliver Thompson | Forward/Midfielder | 6-0 | 180 lbs | Freshman | Redmond, Ore. | Ridgeview HS

Scoring 18 goals and assisting on 13 more during his career at Ridgeview High School, Thompson arrives at the foot of Corban's campus having earned Honorable Mention All-League honors on two separate occasions within the Intermountain Conference at the OSAA 5A level. He's earned IMC Academic All-Star awards for his work in the classroom and was the team leader in assists three of his four years aboard the Ravens' varsity boys' soccer program.

With dreams of one day owning his own company, Thompson will take advantage of Corban's robust business college and study towards a degree in business administration.

 

Azariah Tuggy | Midfielder | 5-11 | 145 lbs | Freshman | Kampala, Uganda | Acacia International School

Having played three different varsity sports across his secondary education for Acacia International school, Tuggy will provide the Warriors with exceptional athleticism as a key member of the Eagles' soccer, basketball, and boys' volleyball programs.

Tuggy will join the Warriors' kinesiology major with intentions of becoming a teacher as his post-collegiate profession.
