Warriors Maintain National Top Twenty Ranking in Penultimate Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the sixth regular season 2025-26 Men's Wrestling Top 25 Coaches' Polls earlier this morning, where the Corban University Men's Wrestling program slightly dropped into a three-way tie for No. 20-overall and remain one of six Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) programs to earn a ranking in the national eye, with three more receiving votes.

Despite fighting adversity as injuries continue to rack up for the Warriors (7-8), a pair of crucial CCC head-to-head dual results fell in Corban's favor with 28-18 and 30-21 comeback wins over now No. 25-ranked Eastern Oregon University and Westcliff University, respectively. However, mid-match injury forfeits resulted in 32-13 and 36-12 losses to No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with just two regular season duals remaining on their schedule prior to the 2026 conference championship tournament that the Navy and Gold will be hosting.

Following their four-dual stretch over the past two weeks, the program maintained four grapplers in the national individual weight class rankings, with junior Jr Downing being joined by teammate senior Bo Davis at 149lbs as Downing secured the No. 20-overall spot and Davis slotted in at No. 23 for the weight class. Both redshirt senior Antonio Garcia (285lbs) and junior Isaiah Twait (184lbs) held their top five rankings, with Twait dropping slightly to No. 5 and Garcia holding at No. 2 in the country.

Corban men's wrestling will be hosting their Senior Night dual this upcoming Saturday, January 31st at 7pm when they're set to welcome NCAA DIII Linfield University (2-1) to the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
