CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced the 2026-27 Men's Wrestling Coaches' Preseason Poll earlier Friday morning, with Corban University earning a fifth-place selection among the conference's 11 wrestling programs. The Warriors collected 73 points in the preseason voting, slotting just ahead of Eastern Oregon University (71 points) and behind a quartet of nationally respected programs atop the rankings.

"We're grateful to be recognized among a strong group of CCC wrestling programs," explained Nolan Harris who enters his fourth year as the Warriors' head coach. "We're looking forward to the upcoming season and the schedule and opportunities we have for our guys. We understand that rankings are a snapshot, and that preseason expectations often mirror last season's conference finish. However, we're excited to compete and for the process of continued development. We can't wait for the season to get underway and are optimistic about where we're headed."
The preseason recognition follows another successful campaign for a Corban squad that continued its ascent on the national stage throughout the 2025-26 season. The Warriors concluded the year ranked No. 23 nationally and secured a 17th-place team finish at the 2026 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships, outperforming their final national ranking for the third consecutive postseason while producing multiple NAIA All-Americans.
Under the leadership of Harris, the Warriors were led by All-Americans Antonio Garcia and Isaiah Twait at the national tournament. Garcia authored his highest national finish with a third-place performance at heavyweight, while Twait secured a sixth-place finish at 184 pounds to earn his second consecutive All-American honor. Corban's national championship performance marked another top-20 finish for the program and continued a stretch of sustained national relevance for Warrior Wrestling.
The CCC enters 2026-27 as one of the nation's premier wrestling conferences, featuring several programs that regularly contend for conference, national, and individual championships. Southern Oregon University was voted the preseason favorite to defend their CCC Tournament title with 121 points and all 11 first-place votes, followed by the University of Providence and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Arizona Christian University rounded out the top four positions ahead of Corban. The narrow two-point margin separating Corban and Eastern Oregon underscores what is expected to be another tightly contested race throughout the 2026-27 schedule.
