BANDON, Ore. – The best overall performance day of the week for the Corban University Men's Golf team netted them a fourth place finish at the 2026 Bandon Crossings Collegiate Match Play, as the Warriors defeated Southwestern Oregon Community College 2.5 points to 1.5 points by claiming two of the pairings and splitting another. With today's results, the Navy and Gold finished fourth among the six collegiate teams in attendance, with Simpson University in first, Skagit Valley Community College in second, the Lakers in third, and both Bushnell University and Warner Pacific University finishing fifth and sixth behind the Warriors, respectively.

"We rebounded well today and had some exciting matches," explained Corban head coach Charlie Marshall earlier today. "Kudos to Brendan and Bo for their play today, along with Owen and Andy/Brayden and David for their strong victories that helped us finish as the top conference program."

In typical match play scoring, the first number indicates the number of holes the leading duo was ahead of their competition, with the second representing the number of holes remaining. The Dubs earned two pairing wins and drew another to claim the head-to-head victory over SWOCC, led by senior Andy Austen and junior Owen Heath who fulfilled the most dominant victory of the day 5 & 3 over their Laker counterparts. Senior Brayden Sparkman and junior David Harvey claimed a 4 & 3 victory, while freshmen Brendan Barbeau and Bo Purnell finished their round in a draw. Senior Shane Jacobus and freshman Isaac Laro nearly completed the perfect weekend, but fell 2 & 1 today to conclude a two-win weekend for the Navy and Gold.

The Warriors will make the trip back up the south coast for just a two-day training period before partaking in the Willamette Valley Cup, hosted by NCAA DIII Willamette University at Corban's home course of Creekside Golf Club.
