Corban Track & Field Programs Open Outdoor Season at Erik Anderson Icebreaker

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – A group of 16 Warriors traveled just north of Salem to the campus of NCAA DIII Linfield University for the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker Invitational, where the Corban University Track & Field programs saw eight Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championship qualifying marks clinched alongside six new program top ten records as the Navy and Gold opened their outdoor season as the indoor slate only just concluded this afternoon in northern Florida.

"We had a partial team at the Linfield Icebreaker today," explained head coach Todd Bos. "The nice weather was too good to pass up. We definitely need to continue to improve as our outdoor season only just begins, and I'm confident we will."

With today's action only qualifying for conference and program standards with indoor championships having only just wrapped up today in Gainesville, Florida, the underclassmen rich field for Corban took advantage of their first outdoor action in 2026 by securing nearly double-digit qualifying marks for the CCC championships this upcoming May and another six appearing in the top ten record books for Warrior outdoor track & field.

Student-athlete qualifying for the 2026 CCC Championships include: sophomore Bennet Mason (men's 10,000m – 13:58.30), sophomore Aaden Ackley (men's 110m hurdles – 15.90), freshman Ethan Medyanik (men's high jump – 1.92m & men's long jump – 6.48m), freshman Andrew Keena (men's high jump – 1.87m), freshman Lemuel Foska (men's triple jump – 12.33m), junior Caleb Jannsen (men's hammer throw – 46.36m), and junior Aden Dardis (men's hammer throw – 41.59m).

Within the Corban record books, Medyanik overtook the No. 4-overall spots in both the men's high jump and long jump, while Keena ties the No. 5 all-time best in high jump. Mason ran the fourth fastest time in an extremely deep men's 10k record book, while Jannsen and Dardis launched the third and sixth best men's hammer throws history, respectively.

The Corban track & field programs will next be in action on Saturday, March 14th at the Rich Allen Classic, which is set to be hosted at Stoffer Family Stadium by NCAA DIII George Fox University.
