Trio of Warriors Earn Conference Qualifying Marks as Corban Track & Field Completes John Knight Twilight Meet

MONMOUTH, Ore. – Another school record fell as the Corban University Men's and Women's Track & Field programs completed competition at the 2026 John Knight Twilight meet, hosted by NCAA DII Western Oregon University, where three Warriors clinched qualification marks for the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships as the outdoor season experienced both the advantages and hardships of a Pacific Northwest spring.

"This weekend was a mixed bag of performances, much like the weather we experienced," Warriors' head coach Todd Bos explained. "We are thankful to end the weekend without any injuries and to see a few athletes return to action from their own setbacks. God's faithfulness is always evident even when performances don't meet expectations. We are looking forward to our meet at SOU next weekend, it is always a fun team trip."

With day one of the John Knight Twilight being cut short due to lightning strikes near McArthur Field following a beautiful week of sunshine in the Willamette Valley, today's events were littered with rainfall and unexpected results across the 40+ team meet. While only three Warriors earned brand new CCC qualifying marks, one emerged with yet another school record, as sophomore jumper Oliver Reis popped a 7.32m leap in the men's long jump to claim the event record in his first outdoor attempt since his All-American finish this past indoor season, simultaneously clinching the thirteenth best jump across the country to date in the event. Additionally, freshman Ethan Medyanik claimed a 6.89m mark, which is the new No. 3-overall jump in program history as they true freshman continues to climb the leaderboard.

On the track, a pair of sophomores secured CCC qualifying times to book their tickets to the 2026 championship meet in mid-to-long distance meets, with Josie Rothman nabbing a personal best in the women's 800m at 2:20.80 while Bennet Mason finished fifth in the men's 5,000m invite at 15:03.06 overall. Rothman's time is the ninth fastest in the event history for Warrior women's track & field.

Next week, the Corban track & field programs will head to the campus of Southern Oregon for a pair of two-day events, the first of which is represented by the 2026 CCC Multi-Event Championships on April 16th and 17th where redshirt junior Anthony Salisbury and true freshman Andrew Keena will compete for the Navy and Gold and crucial points in the team standings. The remainder of the programs will compete in the Raider Invitational across April 17th and 18th within the confines of Raider Stadium.
