"They fought hard on the ladies' side, the conditions were just so difficult to find consistent play in and while our placements were better, we didn't play much better," Warriors' head coach Charlie Marshall shared. "Yaone had probably the best front nine with a 39, so kudos to her for her play. Kudos to Haley for finishing her second 18 holes of her collegiate career. We've got plenty of things to work on as we go to practice next week."
Hosted by Warner Pacific University, the Tournament of Knights concluded with the No. 4-ranked Thunderbirds from the University of British Columbia (605) claiming the team title, with No. 22-ranked Oregon Tech (637) and No. 19-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (648) taking runner-up and third place, respectively. The College of Idaho (668) and Southern Oregon University (676) were the only teams to flip placements in the team standings during the final round, with Bushnell University (683), Corban (712), and Walla Walla University (717) rounding out the team scoring.
Sophomore Yaone Mokgatle (181) had the best final round among the six Navy and Gold student-athletes today, as she finished the front nine just three over par to move up into a tie for 32nd. Sophomores Madelyn Moore (170) and Ashlyn Thomas (177) each finished among the top 30 individuals, while freshmen Riley Sparkman (184), Jaycie Moubray (200), and Haley McDonald (204) concluded this week's tournament in 36th, 43rd, and 44th.
Corban Women's Golf now turns their attention to the 2026 CCC Tournament, which will be hosted by LC State at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club and scheduled to begin on Monday, April 27th with the first of three rounds.
