Salisbury Hits National Javelin Qualifying Mark as Corban Track & Field Competes in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ore. – Both the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Multi-Event Championships and Raider Invitational took place today within the confines of Raider Stadium in southern Oregon, as redshirt senior Anthony Salisbury and freshman Andrew Keena completed the men's decathlon while 24 more Warriors opened their respective event competitions as regular season action continued on the campus of Southern Oregon University.

"The CCC multi-event meet ended well for us," began Corban head coach Todd Bos. "Both Andrew and Anthony had significant PRs in their overall scores. Unfortunately, our conference is very tough this year and they both finished outside the top ten. The highlight of the day was Anthony's big throw in the javelin, qualifying himself for the national meet. Tomorrow, we finish up the Raider Invitational and are looking forward to some nice weather and good competition. Braydon will be competing at the Bryan Clay Invite in SoCal, racing against some top level competition in hopes that he can qualify for the national meet. As always, we are praising God for these opportunities and experiences."

Keena (5,339 points) and Salisbury (5,229 points) finished 11th and 12th in the CCC men's multi-event championships, respectively, as the Corban duo moved up and down the standings as the day progressed, especially following the highpoint of the weekend thus far in Ashland when Salisbury topped the entire conference field with his 59.70m toss that simultaneously hit the NAIA B-standard, qualified for the national championship meet, and moved to No. 8-overall in the Corban record book for the event. Salisbury's javelin throw today represents the 13th best mark across the NAIA to date this season.

In day one of the Raider Invitational, five Warriors hit new personal best times/marks in their respective events, while another four eclipsed season-highs as the outdoor season progressed closer to postseason play that begins in less than a month. Senior Zander Moha made headway towards a men's 1,500m national qualification with a season-best 3:58.46 today, earning him a third-place finish in the event. On the women's side of the 1,500m race, sophomore Josie Rothman and junior Shaelee Killorn placed second and third, respectively, with Rothman clocking a personal best 4:58.56 and Killorn a season-best time of 5:00.15 overall.

Tomorrow morning, the remainder of the Corban track & field programs wrap up the Raider Invitational while junior Brayden Lee competes in the men's 1,500m race down in southern California on the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by NCAA DII Azusa Pacific University.
