Gladfelter Earns Third CCC Athlete of the Week Award of School Year

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office has announced the McDonald's CCC Players of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for the competitions held between April 13th and 19th, where the Corban University Men's Track & Field program delivered standout performances across the Bryan Clay Invitational in Southern California and the Cascade Collegiate Conference Multi-Event Championships alongside the Raider Invitational at Southern Oregon University. Junior long-distance runner Jack Gladfelter received his second CCC Player of the Week award in 2026 for his efforts in the NAIA 10,000m race in Southern California.

"We are very proud of Jack," began Warriors' assistant head coach Stuart Eagon. "Corban has a tradition in the 10k, with Robert Swoboda being a former NAIA Champion in the event. Jack has worked hard to put himself in a position to win a national title in the 10,000 as well. Now, he has the opportunity to work hard over this last month and prepare right for nationals."

At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Gladfelter delivered a statement performance in the men's 10,000m, placing sixth overall with a time of 29:43.18 against a loaded NCAA Division I Field. He finished six seconds ahead of Mason Weisgerber of Southern Oregon University, establishing the top mark in the NAIA this season. Gladfelter's effort now ranks as the third-fastest 10,000m time in Cascade Collegiate Conference history and comfortably surpasses the NAIA A-standard, coming in three seconds quicker than the previous time recorded by Ryan Stade of Montreat College earlier this outdoor season.

This Saturday, the Warrior track & field programs will host their first outdoor track event of the season at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 25th, where they'll be honoring Hall of Fame coach Norm Berney. Field events will begin at 10:30am with track events kicking off at 11am.
