Corban Women’s Golf Shaves Off Team Strokes on Day Two of CCC Championships

LEWISTON, Idaho – A six-stroke improvement between rounds one and two for the Corban University Women's Golf team has the program motivated entering the final round tomorrow at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club, as the Warriors look to finish the 2025-26 season on a high heading into their summer offseason.

"It was great to see our ladies improve from their scores yesterday," shared Warriors' head coach Charlie Marshall. "We need to stay focused if we want to climb the team leaderboard tomorrow, which both myself and the team believe we can accomplish."

The No. 5-ranked Thunderbirds from the University of British Columbia (596) strengthened their grip on yet another CCC team championship by outshooting the host Warriors from No. 20-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (613) by eight strokes today, as they hold a commanding 17-stroke lead entering the last round of conference tourney competition. No. 22-ranked Oregon Tech (616) fell from a first round tie with the T-Birds to a third place standing behind LC State yet will finish with a top three placement barring a massive comeback bid by either Southern Oregon University (650) or The College of Idaho (650). The Beacons of Bushnell University (681) are in sixth, followed by Walla Walla University (710) and the Dubs (716).

The Warriors are once again led by sophomore Ashlyn Thomas (175) who's currently sitting in 30th, but sophomores Yaone Mokgatle (176) and Madelyn Moore (179) are right behind her in 31st and 32nd, respectively. Freshman Jaycie Moubray (186) is tied for 35th and was the only other member of the Navy and Gold to hit the course today for Marshall and his staff.

One final round tomorrow represents the finale for the 2025-26 Corban women's golf season, as the Warriors will begin the third round of the CCC Championships at various tee times throughout the morning, beginning with freshman Haley McDonald at 8am.
