CORVALLIS, Ore. – Junior Jack Gladfelter not only became the first member of the Corban University Men's and Women's Track & Field programs this spring season to qualify for the 2026 NAIA National Championships in multiple events, he did so by clinching a sixth national standard for the Warriors this outdoor season which officially doubles the number of marks hit last season by the Navy and Gold track & field squads. The Dubs competed in two locations this weekend, primarily at the OSU High Performances meet on the campus of NCAA DI Oregon State University, with a small cohort competing at the Linfield Open in McMinnville on the campus of NCAA DIII Linfield University.

"Our team was spread out this weekend between OSU, Linfield, and graduation," Corban head coach Todd Bos explained. "For the most part, we looked a bit tired after finals and many weeks of meets in a row. Hopefully, we can get our legs back under us this week as we head to the conference championships. We are grateful to God for everyone who came out of the weekend healthy. We pray we can compete for His glory at conference and shine His light to those we come into contact with."
Gladfelter placed fifth at the OSU High Performance meet in the men's 5,000m heat by invitational only, where he finished third among NAIA competitors and bested multiple NCAA DI runners. His 14:31.60 final time replaces his current second fastest in the all-time Corban record book and simultaneously qualifies him in the event for the NAIA National Championships, where he's already qualified as the top runner in the men's 10,000m race.
Two more members of the Navy and Gold joined Gladfelter in setting new all-time top ten marks in their respective events, which includes redshirt sophomore distance runner Shannel Killorn (women's 800m – 2:20.74, eighth all-time) and freshman jumper Kayla Krueger (women's pole vault – 3.05m, third all-time). Killorn's mark also qualifies her for the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships next week in the event.
Additionally, a handful of Warriors competed at the Linfield Open, where true freshman Kaitlyn Edmonds topped her personal best in the women's shot put to move from fifth to fourth all-time within the Corban record book with an 11.90 hurl this afternoon.
The regular season has now concluded for the Navy and Gold, and both the men's and women's programs turn their attention to the 2026 CCC Championships, which are scheduled to next Friday in La Grande and hosted on the campus of Eastern Oregon University.
