DAY #1 RESULTS
GRESHAM, Ore. – Freshman
Christy Mosier (Bend, Ore.) turned in the best performance during Day #1 of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships thanks to a sixth place finish in the women's discus Thursday at Earl Klapstein Stadium on the campus of Mt. Hood Community College.
In the third event of the evening, Mosier threw a personal-best and school-record 36.03 meters (118-feet, 2-inches) en route to earning all-conference honorable mention. The first-year Warrior also earned the first points of the meet for Corban's men's and women's track & field team thanks to a three-point showing.
Fellow freshman
Jenny Harman (Salem, Ore.) finished eighth in the event with a toss of 33.65 meters (110-feet, 5-inches) to earn one point for the team, while freshman
Rian Miller (Plummer, Idaho) rounded out the Warrior competitors with a 12th place showing thanks to a throw of 30.49 meters (100-feet).
On the men's side, freshman
Taylor Wilkins (Milwaukie, Ore.) finished 19th in the men's discus with a personal-best throw of 34.30 meters (112-feet, 6-inches).
Corban's men's and women's track & field teams will continue competition tomorrow – Friday, May 14th – beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.
