(RV) Warrior Women’s Golf Boasts Three Top-10 Finishers at OIT Invite

EAGLE POINT, Ore. – The (RV) Corban University women's golf team made its spring debut on Monday and Tuesday, standing toe-to-toe with the Cascade Collegiate Conference's (CCC) best in the first conference tournament of the 2020-21 campaign. The Navy and Gold finished third as a team at the event (129-over 705), led by a trio of top-10 finishes from Kristin Senatra (5th), Delainey Patterson (T-6th), and Kelly Dunn (T-8th).

RESULTS

Three members of the loaded No. 15-ranked Oregon Tech Lady Owls roster—Payton Canon, Aerin Song, and Grace Hull—finished in the top-five of the event, including medalist Canon.

The host Owls (636) took home the team title at the event, as well, with CCC newcomer Lewis-Clark State College coming in second (659) ahead of the Navy and Gold.

Senatra's effort is her second top-five placement of the season, as the Warrior freshman continues to shine in her rookie campaign. She picked up right where she left off in 2020, when she concluded the fall by earning a share of medalist honors at the Bushnell Invite. In this week's event, she shot rounds of 83 (+11) and 81 (+9), ending at 20 strokes above par.

Just one stroke behind her was Patterson, who turned in the type of impressive performance that Warrior fans have become accustomed to seeing from the standout veteran. Patterson signed her scorecard with rounds of 84 and 81, tying for sixth individually.

This week's event marked the return of Dunn, who appeared to be in midseason form in her season debut. Dunn concluded the event with a 22-over 166 (82, 84) over the course of the 36 holes, landing in a deadlock for the No. 8 spot on the leaderboard.

Haley Elsasser was the fourth and final finisher for the Navy and Gold to compete on Monday and Tuesday, turning in a 66-over 210 (99, 111) performance at Eagle Point Golf Club.

The week's results show that the Warrior women possess some of the top talent in the competitive CCC ensemble, with two more tune-ups remaining before the CCC Championships on April 26-27.

Corban will return to action in two weeks, heading to Lewiston, Idaho to participate in the Lewis-Clark State Invite on March 22-23.
