SALEM, Ore. – A top 25 individual finish for sophomore Madelyn Moore allowed the Corban University Women's Golf team to hop NCAA DIII University of Puget Sound and finish seventh overall among the ten teams in the action at the 2026 Willamette Valley Cup, hosted by NCAA DIII Willamette University at Creekside Golf Club.

"Really excited for the women finishing seventh!" exclaimed Corban head coach Charlie Marshall earlier today. "Though their game might not have been the most consistent, they were able to score well enough throughout their round to make a difference in the team standings, led by a great day for Maddy."
It took all 36 holes for NCAA DIII George Fox University (622) to clinch the women's team title, as they held off a comeback bid from Lewis-Clark State College (623) for the one-stroke victory. NCAA DIII Lewis & Clark College (648), Pacific University (649), and Bushnell University (686) rounded out the top five teams in the final standings.
The Navy and Gold (701) shaved off 11 team strokes between yesterday's opening round and today's finale to rise from tied with the Loggers in eighth to standing alone five strokes ahead of UPS in seventh. Moore (81) bested her opening round by four strokes to take 22nd among the 53-woman field, representing the best weekend of any Warrior. Freshman Riley Sparkman (86) had the second best round of the day for Corban to finish in 44th, while sophomores Ashlyn Thomas (87) and Yaone Mokgatle (91) had slight setback rounds to finish in 31st and 37th, respectively. Freshman Jaycie Moubray rose two spots to 52nd behind a 102 final round.
Nearly a month's time will pass before the Warrior women's golf team is next in action, as they'll stay local for the Warner Pacific Spring Invite at Glendoveer Golf Course through April 13th and 14th, hosted by fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference program Warner Pacific University which will double as the CCC's lone regular season tourney of the spring slate.
