EAGLE POINT, Ore. – The 2021-22 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Women's Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, will take place on Monday and Tuesday of next week, and the Corban University women's golf team will look to continue its impressive 2021-22 season in the conference's culminating event.

The two-day tournament will take place on April 25-26 in Eagle Point, Ore., hosted by Oregon Tech at Eagle Point Golf Club.

"We are looking forward to the conference championships with great hopes of improving our league standings," said head coach Charlie Marshall. "We also want to send off our great group of seniors on a high note. It will take everyone playing their 'A' game to accomplish this."

No. 3-ranked University of British Columbia is the early favorite to win the event, looking to reclaim the team title at the event after being unable to compete in last year's tournament due to COVID.

Host institution and No. 23-ranked Oregon Tech is the defending conference tournament and regular-season champion, and the squad from Klamath Falls will look to defend its title on its home course.

Proving capable time and time again of competing alongside the best, (RV) Lewis-Clark State and Corban each possess the talent needed to make a run for the top. The two squads have had a few thrilling battles in their meetings this year, and next week's event should provide a platform for another exciting tournament.

Corban is led by veteran Delainey Rez, who boasts the team's best scoring average at 79.88 strokes. She has a team-leading five top-10 finishes and four top-five placements, and her and her teammate Kelly Dunn are both very much in the mix for All-CCC accolades next week.

Dunn has a scoring average of 80.88 strokes this year, including four top-10 finishes and a pair of top-five scores, while Kristin Senatra (81.88 scoring average, four top-four finishes, three top-five finishes) rounds out one of the CCC's most talented trios.

Haley May projects to be the team's No. 4, entering the championships with a 91.08 scoring average, and Samantha Massie (99.13 scoring average) figures to round out Marshall's top-five.

The winner of the tournament will win the CCC Tournament Championship, and the Regular-Season Champion will be determined by which team posted the best win/loss record over the course of the 2021-22 CCC tournaments, which included the conference championship. All-Conference performers are based on the stroke average over a minimum of three CCC tournaments, one of which must be the championship, with the top-seven earning the honors.
