INDEPENDENCE, Ore. – The Corban University Women's Cross Country team sent five runners to the George Oja Linfield Invitational this morning, where the Warriors saw a top thirty performance and multiple personal records broken.
"The women's team had a fine run today," Warriors' head coach Todd Bos shared. "Samantha had her best XC race today in the program's fifth fastest 6k time ever. Judah was a bit under the weather but still ran well given the circumstances. Abby, Anne, and Rebecca all had good races as well. We have three weeks to prepare for conference and hope to have our best race then. The Lord is blessing our ladies' efforts and we are grateful for that."
Warriors' junior Samantha Dara was the team's top performer today at the Oak Knoll Golf Course, finishing with a final time of 22:43.8 in 30th place to pace the Corban runners. Junior Judah Koehler and freshman Abigail Scott were the next to cross the finish line with times of 24:40.6 and 26:12.9, respectively. The Corban group in action this afternoon was concluded by redshirt sophomore Anne Morud (26:33.6) and freshman Rebecca Noordham (26:52.3).
The Warrior women's cross country program will take the next two weeks to train and prepare for the 2023 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships, hosted by The College of Idaho on November 3rd at the Fairview Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho.
