CALDWELL, Idaho – The first two rounds of The College of Idaho Fall Invite have come to a close on the greens of Timberstone Golf Course, where the Corban University Men's Golf team is in seventh overall among the nine Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) in attendance amid the final scheduled conference tourney of the 2025-26 fall season. A pair of upperclassmen Warriors are right in the middle of a muddled top twenty leaderboard while the remainder of the squad battles amongst the crowded remainder of the all-CCC field.

"Today, the guys started off hot and were playing well through the first few holes but ran themselves into extremely difficult green reads and struggled to make adjustments," began Corban head coach Charlie Marshall. "Brayden and David even played really great rounds, but even they know they left some opportunities on the table and are more than capable of top ten finishes. Overall, we're disappointed with how we performed knowing we could have done much better yet will look to rebound tomorrow to close out our last tournament of October."
By a wide 25-stroke margin, No. 11-ranked University of British Columbia (566) leads the team standings easily with just a single round still to be played, with No. 19-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (591) and Oregon Tech (591) both sitting at just 15 strokes over par yet trail the Thunderbirds by a less than favorable amount. The host Yotes (606) are an additional 15 strokes off the Lewiston Warriors and Hustlin' Owls, while Bushnell University (611) rounds out the top five. Both Southern Oregon University (613) and the Navy and Gold (619) are within ten team strokes of a top five finish, with Walla Walla University (626) and Warner Pacific University (633) concluding the team scoring through two rounds of action.
On an individual basis, UBC holds the top five positions on the leaderboard, while SOU's Ricky Reisner is tied for fifth as the only non-top five Thunderbird. Leighton Wright of British Columbia leads teammate Jake Houston by a single stroke for the medalist title through 36 holes.
For the Warriors, senior Brayden Sparkman (148) was the top performer through day one, sitting at +4 overall and in a six-man logjam for 13th, while junior David Harvey (149) is just a single stroke behind in a three-way tie for 19th. The remaining Corban student-athletes sit between ties for 43rd and 53rd, which includes junior Owen Heath (159), freshman Isaac Laro (161), freshman Brendan Barbeau (162), senior Shane Jacobus (164), and redshirt junior Brock Nelson (165).
The final round of the C of I Fall Invite will kick off tomorrow back at Timberstone Golf Course with tee times beginning in the morning.
