PORTLAND, Ore. – The Corban University Men's Golf team entered the day just 16 team strokes behind the leaders from the University of British Columbia, yet the hostile playing conditions resulted in a difficult day at Glendoveer Golf Course for most of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) student-athletes in action, those including the Warriors who fell from fourth in the team standings into a tie for sixth following the final round of the Tournament of Knights.

"At 8 o'clock this morning, the conditions for both teams were very cold and windy, the kind that send a chill through your body, yet I was still proud of how our men played," explained Corban head coach Charlie Marshall. "We ended up being tied for six, and there's no reason why we can't be higher, and I think I'll be a little motivator going for the guys into the conference championships. They fought through the wind, usually in their face, all day long. Great job from Isaac to turn it on during his back nine and throw some birdies in there, almost had an eagle as well."
The University of British Columbia (869) was able to hang on for the team title despite a near comeback bid by Lewis-Clark State College (871), who finished just two team strokes behind the Thunderbirds to finish as the tourney runner-up. Bushnell University (887) was able to keep their consistent weekend afloat to finish third, while Oregon Tech (904) and Southern Oregon University (904) both rallied to hop the Warriors and finish tied for fourth. Corban (908) and the hosts from Warner Pacific University (908) tied for sixth, followed by The College of Idaho (925) and Walla Walla University (940).
Freshman Isaac Laro (221) submitted his second-straight scorecard under par to finish among the top ten individuals in PDX, as he led the Warriors today with five birdies on the front nine to flip a rough opening round yesterday into one of his best tournament placements to date during his true freshman campaign. Senior Shane Jacobus (229) tied for 26th with junior David Harvey (229), who climbed four placements throughout the day to secure a top 30 individual finish. Seniors Brayden Sparkman (233) and Andy Austen (236) represented the final team bags in 32nd and 41st, respectively, while junior Owen Heath (235) secured a 38th placement after competing as an individual this week.
With the final regular season tournament now officially in the books, the Warriors will set their sights on the 2026 CCC Tournament, which will be hosted by LC State at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club and scheduled to begin on Monday, April 27th.
