SALEM, Ore. – The Corban University Men's Golf team will begin their spring season this upcoming Friday, where a seasoned crew will the course for the Lewis & Clark Match Play. The team will focus their efforts on five tournaments before the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships in late April.
"After our winter layoff and a month of practice, our men are itching to get started on our spring season with a lot of exciting upside following our successful fall season of a new look team that has given Warrior Nation a lot to look forward to this spring," detailed Warriors' head coach Charlie Marshall when asked to give a brief description of the men's program and their upcoming spring slate.
The fall season included four tournament placements and a head-to-head exhibition match against Bushnell University at Pine Ridge Golf Club to kick off the school year. In their first tournament, the Bushnell Fall Invite, the Warriors finished fifth-overall among a competitive group from the conference. The Navy and Gold followed up with a second-place finish at the Multnomah Fall Invite. The fall schedule wrapped up with two more events, the UBC Fall Invite and the Bushnell Tall Timber Invitational, where they placed seventh and sixth, respectively.
Staying in the Pacific Northwest this spring, Corban will start the season at the Lewis & Clark Match Play on February 21st and 22nd at Langdon Farms Golf Club. March 9th through 11th they will compete on the southern Oregon coast at the Bushnell Match Play at Bandon Trails Golf Course.
The Warriors will quickly return to action for the Willamette Spring Invitational on March 15th, hosted by NCAA DIII Willamette University. Corban will then head south for the two remaining events, the Simpson Spring Invite and the Southern Oregon Spring Invite. The CCC tournament in Ashland on April 7th and 8th will conclude their 2024-25 regular season.
The 2025 CCC Championships will take place from April 21st to April 23rd in Portland, hosted by Multnomah, offering Corban a chance to secure individual and team spots for the NAIA National Championships, scheduled three weeks later.

The Warriors will once again be led by senior Max McDonough, who had a consistent fall season and continues to build on prior success in his last season. Joining McDonough in the top five for the Navy and Gold going into the spring season are juniors Andy Austen and Brayden Sparkman, and sophomores David Harvey and Owen Heath.
The lone male golfer from the 2024-25 recruiting class, freshman Riley Quillin enters his first spring season of his collegiate career.

With a strong senior leader and a group of rising players, Coach Marshall has a well-balanced team that blends experience with trained talent. The program has the depth and versatility needed to find success in their hunt for a possible postseason bid.
