PORTLAND, Ore. – For the first time in five seasons, a student-athlete on the Corban University Men's Golf team secured All-Conference honors after the conclusion of the final round of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships at Glendoveer Golf Course, as the Warriors fell from fifth to sixth in the final team standings by just three strokes as they wrapped up the 2024-25 competitive season.

"Unfortunately, a rough day for us out there on the course," began Corban assistant coach Evan Inglesby as he evaluated the program's final tourney appearance of the year. "We got off to a terrible start and just couldn't quite find a rhythm all day. Our highlight was Owen subbing back in and being our low man for round three. A big shoutout to Max for being named to the All-Conference team, a very impressive title to cap off a great career for him."
After holding a sizeable lead following yesterday's second round of play, No. 9-ranked University of British Columbia (855) went even with RV Lewis-Clark State College (871) over the final 18 holes to secure the team title, as Aidan Schumer managed to pull away over the back nine to earn the individual medalist honors for the Thunderbirds as well. Both Schumer and teammate Dylan MacDonald finished the year with a 70.2 stroke average, resulting in Co-Player of the Year honors for UBC while LC State head coach Zach Anderson was named the 2025 CCC Coach of the Year. The College of Idaho was tabbed for the Team Sportsmanship Award.
The third-lowest team score of the day allowed Southern Oregon University (889) to hang on to their top three team finish, followed by C of I (904) and Oregon Tech (916) who managed to overcome their deficit against the Navy and Gold over the final holes played at Glendoveer to push Corban (919) down to sixth overall. Following the Warriors in the team standings was Multnomah (922), Walla Walla University (932), and finally Bushnell University (950) to round out the nine-team tourney.
Senior Max McDonough was able to secure the final All-Conference honor of the 2025 season after completing a round of 79 (+6) to conclude his collegiate career, giving him the 18th overall placement with his teammate, junior Brayden Sparkman, right behind him in 20th and just three strokes behind. The best individual round of the day belonged to sophomore Owen Heath who rebounded nicely after a rough opening round Monday afternoon, as he went four-over with a 77 scorecard to help keep the Warriors in a top six finish. Sophomore David Harvey was the final golfer score to count toward the team results today with a stroke behind Heath at 78 (+5), while junior Andy Austen completed a round of 85 (+12) to close out Corban's PDX postseason appearance.
The Warriors conclude the 2024-25 season with their third top six finish in a five-year span, earning their first All-Conference golfer since the 2020-21 season and the second on the men's team under head coach Charlie Marshall, and will look to continue their success later this fall as they'll lose only two student-athletes to the upcoming spring commencement ceremony.
