Alteneder Reunites with Hometown University, Resigns as Corban Women’s Soccer Head Coach

SALEM, Ore. – As announced by director of athletics Bill Pilgeram, Corban University head women's soccer coach Brooke Alteneder has resigned from her position, effective end of this week, as she was announced as the next head coach for NCAA DIII George Fox University earlier today. Alteneder originally began her collegiate playing career for the Bruins in the fall of 2018 as a true freshman before transferring to NCAA DI University of Idaho her junior year where she would eventually complete her bachelor's degree while competing for the Vandals.

"We have been lucky to have Brooke for the time she was here," commented Pilgeram. "The program improved under her guidance and always played the right way. She is a great young coach with a very bright future and pray for the best for her in the future."

In her lone season as the head women's soccer coach at Corban, Alteneder amassed a 5-12-0 overall record (2-10-0 in conference play) that clinched an eleventh-place finish within the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) thanks to wins over The Evergreen State College and Walla Walla University. Two student-athletes were named All-Conference recipients under Alteneder's regime, along with fifteen Academic All-Conference honorees, nine NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and four CSC Academic All-District selections.

A search for the next head coach of the Warrior women's soccer program will now be led by Pilgeram; those interested can contact Pilgeram via his Corban email, bpilgeram@corban.edu.
