Talented Group of Transfers, True Freshmen Headline Corban Women’s Soccer Recruiting Class

SALEM, Ore. | Continuing to strengthen a program built on competitive excellence and Christ-centered development, the Corban University Women's Soccer team has announced the addition of 13 student-athletes as part of its 2026 recruiting class. The group features a blend of decorated high school standouts and experienced collegiate transfers who will add depth, skill, and leadership across the pitch.

"This class brings a great combination of talent, experience, and character," said head coach Tim Kagey. "We are excited about the quality of players joining our program, but even more excited about the people they are. These student-athletes have demonstrated excellence in competition, the classroom, and their communities, and we are really excited for this class to come in and elevate the program."

The recruiting class includes seven incoming freshmen and six transfers representing Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Arizona. With a blend of accomplished first-year collegiate athletes and experienced transfers, the Warriors' 2026 class is poised to make an immediate impact as Corban continues building toward future success in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC). The incoming group adds talent across every line of the field while reflecting the program's commitment to recruiting student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Below is a closer look at each of the newest Warriors:

Akers arrives after a standout prep career that included multiple all-league selections and all-star recognition. She earned Second-Team All-League honors during both her junior and senior campaigns and helped her team reach the state playoffs in consecutive seasons.

Akers intends to study forensic psychology at Corban.

Beegle arrives from Tabor College after earning Dean's List High Honors during her freshman year. Prior to beginning her collegiate career, she competed at West Albany High School and was part of conference fourth-place finishes in both 2023 and 2024. She also helped Oregon Valley Futbol Alliance capture the 2023 Beaverton Cup championship.

Beegle will pursue a degree in kinesiology with aspirations of becoming a physical therapist.

Castronovo brings positional versatility and extensive club experience to the Warriors as a Second Team All-League honoree for McNary High School. She's played soccer for more than a decade and competed with CFC, where she developed strong competitive experience through regional travel and tournament play.

Castronovo plans to study business management and pursue a career in the business field.

Correa enters the program following a highly productive prep career that featured 53 career goals and multiple team and league accolades, as well as a successful collegiate freshman year as an NCAA DI student-athlete for Chicago State University where she appeared in 15 contests for the Cougars. During her high school career, was named Offensive MVP, earned team MVP honors three times, and collected three First-Team All-League selections. Correa also competed for the Portland Thorns Academy and earned Northwest ECNL Regional League recognition.

She plans to enroll in Corban's newly established nursing program.

Haima, soon to be Fitzpatrick, joins the Warriors after three seasons at George Fox University, where she earned Academic All-Region recognition and multiple Dean's List honors. During her collegiate career for the Bruins, she led her team in shots as both a freshman and junior while finishing second on the team in goals and points as a sophomore. She played in nearly 5,000 career minutes in just three seasons for GFU, starting in 58 of 59 total contests played. At Santiam Christian High School, she was a First-Team All-League selection who scored 22 goals as a senior.

She will continue studying kinesiology as she closes out her collegiate career as a Warrior.

Labajo-Cleaver arrives following a successful tenure at Peninsula College, where she helped the program capture the 2024 NWAC Championship. She appeared in 11 contests over two seasons and allowed just two goals in total for a 0.32 goals-against-average in just under 600 minutes played between the posts, including eight combined shutouts and two solo shutouts. In high school, she was recognized as both an OIA and State Impact Player while contributing to an OIA championship team.

She plans to major in criminal justice.

Miersma joins the Warriors following an outstanding prep career at Amity High School. A four-year varsity player, she earned First-Team All-Conference honors three times, Second-Team All-Conference recognition once, and was named Second-Team All-State in 2025. She helped lead the Amity Warriors to consecutive league championships and the 2025 3A State Championship while earning OSAA Academic All-State honors throughout her career.

She plans to study design at Corban.

One of the most accomplished recruits in the class, Nisly concluded her high school career at Amity with 108 goals and 48 assists. She was named the 1A/2A/3A State Player of the Year, earned three PacWest Conference Player of the Year selections, four First-Team All-Conference honors, and three First-Team All-State recognitions. Nisly helped lead Amity to a state championship and four league and district titles.

She plans to major in psychology while competing as a Warrior.

Ponce brings veteran leadership and collegiate experience after spending the 2025 fall season of her collegiate career at fellow NAIA member Arizona Christian University, appearing in three contests for the Firestorm. The former Columbia Basin Surf club player joins the Warriors as an upperclassman leader with plenty of collegiate experience.

She will pursue a degree in biology.

Robinson adds collegiate experience to Corban's back line after competing at Bellevue College last season and helped propel the Bulldogs to a 7-5-3 overall record and 7-3-2 in NWAC play to claim a spot in the NWAC Regional Playoffs. She played in eight contests as a natural right and left back for Bellevue, as she'll bring versatility and defensive stability to the Warriors' roster starting this fall.

She'll pursue a degree in criminal justice with her long-term goal to eventually work for the FBI.

Stickles brings a strong all-around resume to Corban after earning multiple all-conference and all-state honors during her high school career. She was a three-time First-Team All-Conference selection, earned league MVP honors in each of her final three seasons, and twice received Second-Team All-State recognition.

Stickles plans to pursue a degree in nursing.

Warden provides depth between the posts after competing for both Union High School and Columbia Premier. She aims to continue her development as part of Corban's goalkeeper unit while preparing for a future career in physical therapy.

In order to enter the PT industry, she'll be pursuing a degree in clinical kinesiology.

Zehrung transfers to Corban after attending Olympic College last academic year. During her high school career at Kingston High School, she earned multiple Olympic League Second-Team All-League selections, received the Olympic League Sportsmanship Award twice, and was recognized as a Grocery Outlet Athlete of the Week her senior year.

She plans to major in business administration.
