SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Corban University women's soccer team has already won 12 games in 2016 – more than in any year since 2010. The Warriors are now ready to make the next step and make a deep run in the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament, trying to keep their season alive this weekend.

Corban serves as the No. 3 seed in this week's CCC Tournament and will take on No. 6-seeded Rocky Mountain College on in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Willamalane Complex in Springfield, Ore.

The Warriors, boasting a 12-6 overall record thanks to an 8-3 mark in CCC play, are winners of three straight matches and seven of their last eight matches overall. Randi Donahue leads the way in the attack for Corban with seven goals and five assists, while Holly Martinez Moorman has scored eight goals and dished out two assists on the year. In addition, Lexi McQueary has found the back of the net on seven occasions while totaling four assists, and freshman Annouscka Kordom has proved to be a rock in the middle, scoring three goals with four assists.

Defensively, goalkeeper Sheyenne Brusven owns a 1.44 goals against average for Corban with five shutouts on the year, while the combination of players in the back line are led by Macy Goodwin and Olivia Erskine to stifle opposing team's attacks.

For Rocky Mountain, the Battlin' Bears are coming off of a big upset win over Southern Oregon University on Saturday, keeping the Raiders from clinching the CCC Title outright while also keeping SOU from garnering the CCC's first automatic bid to nationals. Rocky Mountain, boasting an 8-9 record overall and a 5-6 mark in CCC action is led offensively by Lauryn Gamache with seven goals and three assists, while both Brittany Greenback and Mhari Smith have scored five goals apiece. Defensively, Lia Unterholzner owns a 2.13 goals-against-average and registered two shutouts on the season.

The CCC's second automatic berth to nationals goes to the winner of the CCC Tournament. If Carroll College (regular-season No. 1 seed) wins the tournament, then the runner-up in the tournament earns the CCC's second automatic berth to nationals.
