SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Corban University women's soccer team enters the 2017 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament looking to capture the program's first-ever CCC Tournament Title while also booking a first-ever trip to the NAIA National Tournament. In order to do that, the No. 4-seeded Warriors will have to first defeat No. 5-seeded Southern Oregon University on Friday at 8 p.m. in the CCC Tournament Quarterfinals.

Eastern Oregon clinched the CCC regular-season title and a trip to the NAIA National Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. The CCC's second automatic berth to nationals goes to the winner of the CCC Tournament. If the winner of the CCC Tournament is EOU, then tournament runner-up garners the CCC's second automatic berth to nationals.
Corban enters Friday's 8 p.m. contest vs. SOU as the No. 4 seed with a 10-6-1 overall record and a 7-3-1 mark in CCC action. The two teams met earlier in the year in Salem, with SOU prevailing as the victors, 1-0. SOU enters the contest with a 10-7-0 overall mark and a 7-4-0 record in CCC action.
The Warriors are led offensively by Annouscka Kordom with eight goals and two assists, as she ranks third overall in the conference in points with 18. Additionally, Lexi McQueary has found the back of the net four times and dished out a team-leading five assists in 17 matches, while Holly Martinez Moorman has also scored four times with one assist.
For SOU, Kelsey Randal leads the way offensively with six goals and three assists for 15 total points, while Mia Volpatti has scored five times with three assists to rank second overall on the squad.
The 2017 CCC Tournament will be held at the Willamalane Sports Complex in Springfield, Ore., for the third-straight year. The quarterfinals are slated for Friday, Nov. 3, semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 4, and the championship contest on Monday, Nov. 6.
