"We had some emotional wins and some emotional losses today, but overall, I'm proud of how the guys performed," Warriors' head coach Nolan Harris stated earlier this evening. "We were able to pick up bonus points in a lot of our wins and that has been a difference maker in the team race. To be in the top ten with six still vying for All-American status is a step in the right direction. Tomorrow will be critical for each of those six as well as the team race. There's still a lot of team points up for grabs, and we're hoping to see all six wrestling on Saturday, but they're going to have to do the little things right to get there. I'm excited for them and know that each one of them is excited for another opportunity to represent Christ through the sport of wrestling."

Of the six Warriors who have advanced to the second day of the 2025 national championships, three of them have yet to accept a loss and have thus secured spots in their respective national quarterfinals, represented by the team's top three nationally seeded grapplers. Qualifying for his fourth-straight national quarterfinal round and looking to advance to yet another national semifinal stage is redshirt senior and No. 3-seeded David Rubio at 157lbs, as he secured major decision victories over Cole Price of Concordia University (Neb.) and Diego Machado of St. Ambrose University, 18-4 and 11-3, respectively.

A pair of first round byes for No. 5-seeded sophomore Isaiah Twait (184lbs) and No. 3-seeded redshirt junior Antonio Garcia (285lbs) were followed by a 4-2 decision for Twait over No. 12-seeded Brice Parks of Campbellsville University and a 23-8 technical fall for Garcia over Wilbert Martin from Texas Wesleyan University.

Senior Tyson Stover, the Warriors' final nationally seeded wrestler at No. 13-overall for 184lbs, overcame his first-round loss this morning with a 7-6 decision over Montana State University-Northern and No. 14-seeded Devin Crawford to advance to the third round of the consolation bracket.

Also dropping their opening round matchups but securing back-to-back wins in the consolation bracket today were juniors Bo Davis and Luke Jensen over the 141-weight class, with the duo each clinching at least one win over a nationally seeded wrestler for 141lbs. Davis secured a 7-0 decision over Campbellsville's Bryant Beane before pinning the No. 11-seeded Adam Stanley of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Arizona. Meanwhile, Jensen pinned both No. 15-seeded Gage Hudson from the University of Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 16-seeded Tristan Bremer from the University of Providence to keep his own national tournament appearance alive.

In both of their first national tournament appearances, junior Blake Runion (133lbs) and sophomore Jr Downing (149) each scored team points before bowing out in their consolation brackets, with Downing earning a first-round pin of the No. 14-seeded Pat Gould from Life University for 3.0 team points, while Runion defeated No. 6-seeded Chandlar Akins from Cumberlands in a stunning 3:37 fall. Graduate student Hunter James faced back-to-back nationally seeded wrestlers at 197lbs and was unable to carry his tournament run into day two's third, fourth, and fifth rounds.
